Porchlight Music Theatre announces the roster of new faces starring in its latest 2022 – 2023 season offering, New Faces Sing Broadway 1984, hosted by Honey West, directed by Tommy Novak with music direction and arrangements by Micky York. Porchlight Music Theatre has announced the extension of its production of the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, RENT, with music, lyrics and book by Jonathan Larson, through Sunday, Dec. 11. Porchlight's production, now playing at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St., is directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo, music directed by Dr. Michael McBride and choreographed by Laura Savage.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the cast and creative team for the Chicago premiere of Disney's Freaky Friday, A New Musical, April 10 - May 24, 2020 at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street. The musical comedy about a mother and her daughter who switch identities stars Cory Goodrich as 'Katherine,' the mother, and Maya Lou Hlava as Katherine's daughter 'Ellie.'

Northwestern University's Waa-Mu Show announces its 88th annual production "For the Record." The entirely student written and orchestrated musical follows a journalist as she embarks on a project to chronicle the lives of three of history's most incredible, and nearly forgotten, women.

On Wednesday, April 22nd and Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30 in FIAF's Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street), Marquis de Lafayette will be reborn in the world-premiere of Lafayette. Inspired by the letters between the young Lafayette and his wife, the play tells the story of the 19-year-old man who sailed to America as a volunteer soldier and became the youngest general in George Washington's army. The story follows the young French couple's life of adventures, and their political brinkmanship in securing support for the American cause from a reluctant king.

MARY STUART at Folger Theatre is a must see production. As directed by Richard Clifford and featuring the dual leading ladies Kate Eastwood Norris and Holly Twyford, this is a show that catches lightning as only live theatre can do. This is not a documentary, however, it is vibrant, exciting, intriguing theatre presented by artists at the top of their game.

RED was first produced by the Donmar Warehouse, London in December of 2009. In March of 2010, the play was transferred to the John Golden Theater on Broadway where it won its six Tony Awards including Best Play.
