Ars Nova has announced complete details for performances taking place in January along with highlights and updates for its Spring 2023 season.

Ars Nova has announced 13 new artists and groups selected for 2023 residencies. Ars Nova’s dynamic slate of artist residencies and commissions supports outside-the-box thinking and encourages innovative, genre-bending work.

The spectacular new production of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY – THE MUSICAL, presented by Leeds Playhouse in association with Neal Street Productions & Playful Productions, opens this week. Check out photos here!

This holiday season, prepare yourself for sleighing belles, rabid yells, and tidings of joy as Tony Award nominees Justin Vivian Bond and Kenny Mellman debut their hilarious holiday special Kiki & Herb: DO YOU HEAR WHAT WE HEAR? at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre on Thursday, December 1st.

Kiki & Herb: DO YOU HEAR WHAT WE HEAR? runs Thursday, December 1 through Sunday, December 11. Hot off the heels of their sold-out run at Brooklyn Academy of Music last year, this tour will be Kiki & Herb's first shows out of NYC since 2007.

From executive producer Michael Patrick King, And Just Like That…, brings the iconic characters of Sex and the City back for exciting all-new series, which finds Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) navigating the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

Joe’s Pub will present the new one-hour comedy special, Justin Elizabeth Sayre is a 40-Year-Old Woman from playwright and performer Justin Elizabeth Sayre on Sunday, October 16 at 9:30 PM. 

Leeds Playhouse has revealed the full company who will join previously announced Gareth Snook (Willy Wonka) in its exciting new production of Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY – THE MUSICAL, presented in association with Neal Street Productions & Playful Productions.

Ars Nova and PlayCo will present the world premiere of HOUND DOG by 2019 Ars Nova resident artist Melis Aker. Directed by Machel Ross with music by Aker and the Lazours, this cross-cultural jam-session-meets-play explores the winding path towards forgiveness and belonging.

Wayne Brady, Jordin Sparks, and more will be joined by a Real Housewife, a Bachelorette and a drag queen superstar, and more in season 31 of Dancing With the Stars. John Corbett will return to his Sex and the City role of Aidan Shaw for the second season of And Just Like That... Corbett will have a multi-episode arc on the second season of the series, reprising his role as Carrie Bradshaw's on-and-off-again boyfriend. The new season will also feature Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

Olivier winner and Tony nominee Tracie Bennett (Hangmen, End of the Rainbow) and Laiona Michelle (Little Girl Blue, Amazing Grace) have joined the line-up for the 10th annual “Night Of A Thousand Judys.'

The 10th annual “Night Of A Thousand Judys” – the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Elizabeth Sayre – will take place at Joe’s Pub on Sunday, June 5. 

Ars Nova has announced the lineup for its 14th Annual ANT Fest featuring 15 shows, 13 of which will premiere in-person and online at Ars Nova Supra with the first two shows premiering exclusively online.

Joe’s Pub will present the next installment of “Assorted Fruit” with host Justin Elizabeth – the new monthly, queer variety show from the people that brought you The Meeting* – on Sunday, April 24 at 9:30 PM.

Ars Nova has announced additional programming running between April 27 – June 24, 2022. All events will take place in-person at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, Manhattan) for $15 and online via Ars Nova Supra for $10.

The Max Original AND JUST LIKE THAT…, the new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series “Sex and the City,” starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler.
