It would be fair to say Weather Girl was the talk of last year’s Edinburgh Fringe. With a Scotsman Fringe First, a Lustrum Award, and a queue stretching back into the Summerhall courtyard, it was only a matter of time until this sweltering success got a much-anticipated London transfer. Now fully sold out at Soho Theatre, it’s clear to see why this show had audiences talking.
Heathers the Musical is holding a virtual open call for its upcoming Off-Broadway run. The production is searching for performers for all principal and ensemble roles, including Veronica Sawyer, the three Heathers, Jason 'JD' Dean, and more.

Direct from a sell-out run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Last Laugh is a brand-new laugh-a-minute play which re-imagines the lives of three of Britain's all-time greatest comedy heroes – Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse.
There’s nothing better than theatre that truly surprises you. While Cruel Intentions didn’t teach me anything new about the world around us, it certainly advocates for the place of Jukebox musicals within the theatre landscape. If nothing else, book a ticket to see some top-class performers belt out your favourite 90s hits.
Check out new photos of Made at Curve's production of the Olivier, Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical KINKY BOOTS The Musical. The show will tour the UK and Ireland from 17 January 2025.

The road to the perfect commemorative photograph is anything but smooth with their two unruly personalities. Written by historian playwright John Ransom-Phillips and directed by Bronagh Lagan, Mrs President lives suspended between the lenses of history and fiction.
Classics like Animal Farm are tough to stage, partly because they’re produced so often. To make a lasting impact, a production needs to bring something truly exciting and relevant to the table. Unfortunately, this production never fully justifies why this adaptation, and why now?
When I ventured into the world of playwriting, I found myself in completely new territory. Unlike painting, the written word invites evolution. A play is never truly “done.” It transforms, grows, and contracts.
The RSC’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream has transferred from Stratford-upon-Avon to the Barbican Centre for the winter. Starring Mathew Baynton as Bottom, the Shakespeare comedy tells the tale of four young lovers from Athens who escape into a magical forest where they come face-to-face with the fairy world.
Having seen over 320 shows in cities like London, New York, Edinburgh in 2024, it was certainly difficult to narrow it down to my top ten shows of the year, but I have done my best! This list is a mix of plays, musicals and stand-up comedy shows that I have seen as both a critic, as well as some that I went to as a punter.
Based on Tom Fletcher’s best-selling children’s book and adapted by scriptwriter Miranda Larson, The Creakers musical is an escapade which highlights the very real need for sustainability, through a tale about Lucy and the ‘kidderlings’ of Whiffington. The children wake up to find that all of the adults have mysteriously disappeared and the local waste and recycling issues have oddly all but vanished too.
In an evolving year of children’s theatre, the themes of climate change and sustainability reign supreme, with a lean towards immersive and inclusive theatre with excellent changes in the industry meaning prior access resources are provided as a matter of course. These resources are often made available in the form of helpful visual guides, sensory and symbol maps, all of which are brilliantly inclusive for those with neurodiversity or additional needs.
A gem of a show wrapped in a big red bow, White Christmas at the Mill at Sonning brings a dollop of Golden Age glitz and festive joy to the holiday season. With immaculate production value and a talented cast, I dare you to not leave the theatre counting your blessings instead of sheep.
All new production photos have been released from The Creakers, a musical based on singer-songwriter and author Tom Fletcher’s best-selling book, adapted by the award-winning Miranda Larson. Check out the photos here!
