Guthrie Theater Presents SHANE, In Co-Production With Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park

The Guthrie Theater in co-production with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, presents the world premiere of Shane by Karen Zacarías, adapted from the novel by Jack Schaefer and directed by Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Artistic Director Blake Robison. Co-commissioned by the Guthrie and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in 2021, Shane will play July 15 – August 27, 2023, on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Long Beach Opera to Stage and Release Recording of THE CENTRAL PARK FIVE

Long Beach Opera announced today that in addition to two performances of Anthony Davis’ Pulitzer Prize winning opera The Central Park Five that they premiered in 2019, LBO will create the world premiere recording of the piece, which will be released this fall. Long Beach Opera to Present World Premiere of GIUSTINO Adaptation

This new production of Handel’s rarely-performed opera Giustino, which is conceived of and directed by LBO’s Artistic Director James Darrah and conducted by LBO’s Music Director Christopher Rountree, will perform on May 21, 22, and 28 at 7:30 PM.

Long Beach Opera Announces Four Upcoming 2022 Productions

Long Beach Opera has programmed four upcoming performances and events – including two new productions as originally announced -- Giustino by G.F. Long Beach Opera's  season begins March 19-27, 2022, with an operatic staging of Karlheinz Stockhausen's acapella choral work STIMMUNG.
