Reading Rep Theatre and Original Theatre have released photos from their upcoming new production of Micheál Mac Liammóir’s renowned play, The Importance of Being Oscar, which will run at Reading Rep Theatre from 24 May - 8 June and star Original Theatre’s Artistic Director Alastair Whatley.

Directed by Bruno Guida and staring Daniel Infantini and Flávio Tolezani, the dramatic comedy by award-winning English author Neil Bartlett is inspired by a telegram sent by Irish writer Oscar Wilde to a friend in 1895, just a week before began the trial that would cost him his reputation, his freedom, his family and then his life.

Stage West will present the regional premiere of Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Elusive Ear, a witty riff on the classic Conan Doyle mysteries, which begins a 3-week run on Thursday, June 6.
