This Spotlight focuses on Shelley Fisher, a down home diva better known as The Hebrew Hillbilly, her solo music play which is the longest running in the USA. Believing that music is the universal language which brings healing and encouragement to everyone, performing her show fuels the flames of creativity and hope for Shelley, and comedy provides a welcome break from the weight of life as it is today. So, what is she up to until she can back inside the Santa Monica Playhouse to perform for an audience again?

Dreams do come true. Just ask Toni Jackson, the matriarch of Mama's Wranglers, a talented family of a mother and four of her adult children who sing 4-part vocal harmonies, plays an array of instruments, clogs, and entertains with well-loved songs and humor. One dream to come true is the latest release of their DVD, Cowboy Stars, with a virtual launch party on April 10.

We talked to Morietnez, one of the ten finalists of last year's Pocari Sweat Bintang SMA competition. The teen singer also has a couple musical productions under her belt, including JKTMoveIn's MUSIKAL PETUALANGAN SHERINA. Morietnez shared thoughts on the difference between a singer and a musical actor and more.

Producer Eric Krebs announced today that Amas Musical Theatre's production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies and directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, scheduled to begin performances at Theatre Row on March 17th and open on March 26th has been postponed for the time being. The original cast album will be recorded in April.

Following a previously announced one-week extension, Atlantic for Kids has announced additional performances for She Persisted, The Musical, a New York premiere musical with script and lyrics by Adam Tobin, music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, adapted from the book written by Chelsea Clinton and illustrated by Alexandra Boiger, published by Philomel Books, with music supervision by Macy Schmidt. Directed and choreographed by MK Lawson, additional performances have been added due to popular demand on Thursday, March 19th at 5:30pm, Saturday, March 21st at 2:00pm and Sunday, March 22nd at 2:00pm at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues).

Producer Eric Krebs, has announced today that the Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, and directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen will move from the 99-seat Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theatres to the 199-seat Theatre 3 (formerly The Acorn) at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th and Dyer Avenues) for an open-ended engagement.

What They Said About Love by Steve Budd is the fifth performance for Brian Copeland presents The Best of San Francisco Solo Series 2019/20 in partnership with The Marin Cultural Association at The Marin Center's Showcase Theater. This absorbing solo play will be presented on Sunday, February 23, 2020 (7pm) at The Marin Center's Showcase Theater.

The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers (CLLAW) puts the a?oewina?? in winter with its 35th match CLLAW XXXV: Pageant of Champions on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago. CLLAW's benefit match will feature Chicago's biggest, baddest lady arm wrestlers, live musical entertainment from funk band OD Jo and a cash bar.

The Marsh San Francisco has added three free performances of Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period, due to ongoing support from a GoFundMe campaign and generous corporate contributions from Summit Bank, Clint Reilly Associates, The Handlery Hotel Union Square in San Francisco, Fremont Bank, OSIsoft, and Galvan and Associates in San Leandro.

Who's ready for some great holiday entertainment? There are so many great shows to see during the holiday season. If you need a break from all the holiday craziness and a chance to laugh until your cheeks hurt, hop on over to Open Stage for Who's Holiday. Who's Holiday, by Matthew Lombardo, is not your typical Christmas play. It is a show with only one actor. It answers the age-old question of what happens to characters after the original story ends. Told by Cindy Lou Who, it is the story of what happened to her after the Grinch's famous redemption in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The story is told in typical Seussian rhyme. Rachel Landon will be taking on the role of Cindy Lou at Open Stage, and she took some time to talk to us about Who's Holiday, directed by Stuart Landon, opening on November 16th.
