Two new shows have been added to Kean Stage's Fall 2022 season.

The Boch Center has re-introduced the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame (FARHOF), an education initiative located inside the iconic Wang Theatre in Boston.

At a gathering last week of local dignitaries, RUBICON THEATRE, Ventura’s non-profit professional theatre company, shared progress and plans for a new community gathering space at the theatre.

It's hard to imagine that it was sixty years ago when the iconic trio Peter, Paul & Mary took over the American folk song landscape, paving the way for artists like Bob Dylan and John Denver. 

​​​​​​​Music to Life, a national nonprofit founded by Noel Paul Stookey of the folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary, has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation to fund its signature Accelerator programs for social justice musicians.

Rubicon Theatre Company, Ventura’s non-profit professional theatre company, will continue the company’s 2022-2023 Season with the World Premiere of LONESOME TRAVELER: GENERATIONS, conceived by George Grove and James O’Neil, with musical direction by Rick Dougherty and George Grove and direction by Rubicon Co-Founder James O’Neil.

The Boch Center is putting the Folk Roots Americana Hall of Fame (FARHOF) on full display. Images of some of the hundreds of items from artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Joan Baez will be displayed on the marquee outside the Wang Theatre.

Noel Paul Stookey, better known as the “Paul” of the seminal 1960s folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary, continues to embrace his role as an elder statesman of what was once referred to as “protest music.” On March 22, Neworld Multimedia will release JUST CAUSES, a carefully curated compilation of 15 Stookey tracks, each bearing a theme of social concern.

Each performance was recorded inside the historic Wang Theatre in Boston. The program will air first on NBC Boston Saturday, March 6 at 7:00 PM, and then again on NECN Saturday, March 13 at 7:00 PM.

Three of New England's top emerging artists will take the stage for a special episode of the Boch Center's music television series The Ghost Light Series. Jay Psaros, The Restless Age, and Alice Howe will all perform Friday, January 22, at 7:30 PM on NECN.

Award winning singer/songwriter Mark Erelli brings his unique sound to the Wang Theatre stage for a performance on the Boch Center's music television series The Ghost Light Series. Erelli will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Zachariah Hickman for the performance, which was originally scheduled to air Friday, December 4. It will now air this Thursday, December 10 at 7:30 PM on NBC Boston and Friday, December 11 at 7:30 PM on NECN.

Singer/songwriter Will Dailey will take center stage at the Wang Theatre for a performance on the Boch Center's music television series The Ghost Light Series. Dailey will show off his unique style and creativity as he plays some of his favorite songs to an empty theatre. The episode airs this Friday, November 20 at 7:30 PM on NECN. 

Folk legends Tom Rush, Noel Paul Stookey and Jonathan Edwards will take the stage together for a special performance on the Boch Center's music television series The Ghost Light Series. This will be the first time the trio has ever performed together. The show will air Friday, November 6 at 7:30 PM on NECN.

The Boch Center's new television music series The Ghost Light Series will premiere this Friday, September 25 at 7:30 PM. The first episode will feature The Mammals, a folk rock band out of New York, performing on the Wang Theatre stage.

The Boch Center is launching the Ghost Light Series, a live music program filmed onstage at the Wang Theatre. Set to air on New England's Connection (NECN), the series will showcase critically acclaimed artists including Keb' Mo', Lori McKenna, The Mammals, Tom Rush, Noel Paul Stookey, Jonathan Edwards, and more. The Ghost Light Series will premiere Friday, September 25 at 7:30 PM and air every other week in the same time slot. 

Musical icons, champions of the Civil Rights Movement and Black Lives Matter, Broadway stars, and a?oeAmerica's Got Talenta?? finalists have come together to help raise funds for Rubicon Theatre Company, a non-profit theatre company in Ventura, California with a 4th of July event called a?oeVoices of America: Songs and Stories of Conflict, Crisis, Healing and Hope.a??
