A Noise Within, California's acclaimed classic repertory theatre company, announces the fifth production of its 30th anniversary season, Nilo Cruz's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Anna in the Tropics, directed by ANW's Director of Cultural Programming Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx (he/him).  The play will run March 20 through April 17, 2022, with press performances on Saturday, March 26 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m.

INTAR (Paul Slee Rodriguez, Executive Director, Lou Moreno, Artistic Director, Nidia Medina, Artistic Producer) and Radio Drama Network announced today that Joe's Pub will present the new musical, ¡Oso Fabuloso & The Bear Backs!.

Barrington Stage Company will produce a 2022 season that will feature two Tony Award-winning musicals, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, four world premieres and one of the true absurdist masterpieces of 20th century theatre.

DTC will present the production with English and Spanish spoken throughout the production. It features translated passages by Nilo Cruz and Jeff Augustin. DTC's production is the first Wilder production in the 125th year-long celebration in 2022.

A new musical stage adaptation of Black Orpheus, featuring a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz, original music by Grammy Award winner and Brazilian icon Sergio Mendes, and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo, is being readied for its world premiere production on Broadway during the 2022-2023 season.

MainStage Irving-Las Colinas has announced the cast of their upcoming production of Nilo Cruz's play Anna in the Tropics. Directed by Dennis Yslas, the production will run January 21 – February 5, 2022 in the Dupree Theatre at the Irving Arts Center. 

The three productions will be Windfall (May 31–June 19), a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander; Anna in the Tropics (June 28–July 24) the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz, directed by Marcos Santana; and Ragtime (August 2–28), with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, directed by Will Pomerantz.

Directed by CCCT’s Executive Artistic Director Marilyn Langbehn, and featuring a diverse ensemble of eight actors who portray the 25-plus citizens of Grover’s Corners, Our Town will play for 15 performances from October 1-31.

Teatro Paraguas will present 26 Miles, a play by Quiara Alegria Hides about an estranged Latina mother and her White Jewish teenage daughter who find themselves on a spontaneous road trip to discover one another — and see the buffalo in Yellowstone.
