The 2022-2023 season will continue at Kitchen Theatre Company with NO CHILD… by Nilaja Sun. Performances of NO CHILD… begin at the Kitchen Theatre Company in the Percy Browning Performance Space on Tuesday, March 28 and will run through Sunday, April 16.

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present the premiere production of Certain Aspects of Conflict in the Negro Family by TyLie Shider, the recepient of the 2021/22 Liberty Live Commission, on October 13-23 under the tent at Kean University's Liberty Hall Museum (1003 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.).

Following their recent leadership transition in which Producing Artistic Director Zak Berkman succeeded former Executive Artistic Director Abigail Adams, People’s Light has announce an exciting expansion of their artistic team with four new appointments. Broadway-favorite Steve H. Broadnax III (Thoughts of a Colored Man) transitions from Resident Director to People’s Light Associate Artistic Director.

The Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia will present Nilaja Sun’s Obie Award Winning play NO CHILD… This new digital production, a one-person exploration of the New York City public school system through the lens of a teaching artist, features Philadelphia performer Taysha Marie Canales.  Directed by Justin Jain, NO CHILD...will run April 27 through May 9, 2021 on the Arden’s digital stage.

The Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia has announced plans for a Spring 2021 digital season, featuring original shows that feature some of the company's most celebrated artists. These new productions will be available to the general public starting in February 2021 and will run through May. Tickets will go on sale Monday, November 2 starting at 11AM.

A groundbreaking collaboration created between two Great Lakes regional theatres, Detroit Public Theatre (DPT) and Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) and PBS stations, Detroit Public TV (DPTV) and WNED PBS in Buffalo, is bringing two acclaimed solo plays to the small screen on October 26, 2020 at 8 p.m. EST.

Arts Club Theatre Company announces its Fall Theatre Trio.

This September, Arts Club will be bringing back live theatre to Vancouver with NO CHILD a?? by Nilaja Sun. NO CHILD a?? is a play done by one actor taking on 16 different characters. This award winning show (including an Obie Award, 2 Outer Critics Circle Awards, and a Lucille Lortel Award) will be playing at the Newmont Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre from September 24th to November 8th. Finding ways to stay busy in the great big realm of theatre has never been a challenge and it still isna??t now, ita??s just different.

The Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia has spent considerable time looking at how they can safely move forward with a 2020/21 season.

INTAR Theatre (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) and Radio Drama Network (Melina Brown, President) today announced the cast for the World Premiere of Bundle of Sticks, a new play by J. Julian Christopher, directed by Lou Moreno. Bundle of Sticks will play a special limited Off-Broadway engagement, beginning February 22nd and continuing through March 22nd only. Opening Night is set for Monday March 2nd.

Communities are beautiful things due in part to the vast diversity that can exist in them. Even if made up of people of common means, there are so many layers to each neighborhood, each block, and each building. Some of these people are friends, some one hardly ever sees, but many are, or can feel like, family. These community bonds often are tested the most during a crisis, and sometimes it is that crucible which strengthens relationships and changes lives. Bonds such as I have described here are portrayed vividly by Nijala Sun in her one woman show, PIKE ST. which is now playing at Hartford Stage.

PlayPenn, the nationally-recognized new play organization based in Philadelphia,  has announced their Spring 2020 Education Program courses. Curated by Director of Education Julia Mauro Bumke, the semester features a variety of courses and workshops designed for writers of all skill levels.
