National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced this year’s casting for the performances of Little Duende, Māyā, Private Gomer Jones, and TL;DR featured in the 33rd Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. This year’s festival will be held on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, 2021 and will be presented as a digital and in-person hybrid.

From the comedic brilliance of the mighty Pythons, this new take on Eric Idle’s already hysterically inaccurate version of King Arthur’s quest for the Holy Grail — directed by BT MacNicholl, who helmed the show’s 1st National Tour, and starring Charles Shaughnessy, Mariand Torres, Jen Cody, Marc Ginsburg, Josh Grisetti, Daniel A. Lopez, Dwelvan David, and Nic Rouleau — SPAMALOT has been thrilling New England audiences in a brand new 25,000 square foot, steel structured outdoor venue. Performances run through July 10.

Ogunquit Playhouse kicked off their very first Outdoor Season with Spamalot. Returning to the role of King Arthur that he originated for Ogunquit Playhouse in 2010 is the charismatic Charles Shaughnessy, best known to TV fans as Mr. Sheffield on CBS' 'The Nanny' and Shane Donovan on NBC's 'Days of Our Lives.'

The series begins with award-winning cabaret and jazz artist Carole J. Bufford honoring songstresses Janis Joplin, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Carole King, Lesley Gore, Dionne Warwick, Cher and more in her solo show YOU DON'T OWN ME: FEARLESS FEMALES OF THE '60s & '70s. July 10 at 8:00 PM.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2021 Summer Concert Series at the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport.

Monty Python will take on a new twist as Ogunquit Playhouse kicks off their very first Outdoor Season with Spamalot, the first production to play the theater’s new, 25,000-square-foot, open-air Leary Pavilion. Spamalot begins previews Wednesday, June 16, opens Friday, June 18, and runs through July 10, 2021.

Junior year ended on a positive note. The Baldwin Wallace University landscaping crew scored another hit with the spring tulips that served as the backdrop for the return of our commencement ceremony at George Finnie Stadium.

White Rose is a true “COVID collaboration.” Librettist Brian Belding and composer Natalie Brice have not been in the same room together since an initial project meeting in New York in January, 2020, creating White Rose exclusively on Zoom.
