Theatre for a New Audience has announced details of its Spring Gala Celebrating Shakespeare’s Birthday, held in-person at Capitale (130 Bowery, New York City) and emceed by Isabel Arraiza.

Now playing at The Heights Players in Brooklyn: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, the hilarious, rollicking, Tony Award-winning, musical mystery whodunit where every night the audience chooses the ending!

In May and June, experience Latin music pianist Eddie Palmieri, trailblazing trumpeter Bria Skonberg and global guitar virtuoso Jesse Cook at the South Orange Performing Arts Center.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present acclaimed performer Billy Valentine – the Billboard chart-topping singer and songwriter best known for his work on The Five Heartbeats, “Boston Legal” and “Sons of Anarchy” – on Saturday, June 8 at 7:00 PM.

Five-time Tony-nominated playwright Douglas Carter Beane reunites with composer and lyricist Lewis Flinn, his Give it Up/Lysistrata Jones collaborator, to bring to life this hilarious and stirring new theatrical adventure.

Today Petaluma Records released the soundtrack to Take Me To The River: New Orleans — the album and feature documentary film feature new recordings from The Neville Brothers, PJ Morton, Big Freedia, G-Eazy, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Snoop Dogg, Dumpstaphunk, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, William Bell, Ani DiFranco, Donald Harrison, Galactic, the late Dr. John, and many more. The film hits theaters in NYC and LA today and will roll out to select cities nationwide during the month of May, list of showings HERE. The soundtrack is available now digitally, with a CD and deluxe vinyl release to come on May 27, 2022. A Take Me To The River: All Stars tour is also set for this May, and select musicians featured in the project will perform at music venues across the country.

The season will open with Bruce Norris’ Tony, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize-winning “Clybourne Park,” directed by Kurt Naebig (Sept. 8 – Oct. 9).  It will be followed by Alan Ayckbourn’s feisty holiday comedy, “Season’s Greetings,” directed by Connie Canaday Howard (Nov. 17 – Dec. 18). With a nod to the Cleve Carney Museum of Art/MAC summer 2023 exhibition “Warhol,” BTE will complete the season with Vince Melocchi’s fictional play “Andy Warhol’s Tomato” directed by Steve Scott (Feb. 2 – March 5).

 The Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA) has announced the author lineup and programming for MOTIVE presented by Kobo Plus, Canada's newest and largest crime and mystery writing festival, taking place June 3 to 5, 2022 based at Harbourfront Centre.

The Washington Stage Guild will conclude its 2021-2022 season with Memoirs of a Forgotten Man by D.W. Gregory. The play, which had its world premiere at The Contemporary American Theatre Festival in 2018, takes place in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where a man’s inability to forget those whom the government has “erased” becomes increasingly problematic for him and his family.

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra concludes an exciting season of in-person and live streamed performances May 2022 with virtuoso violinist Rachel Barton Pine. Originally scheduled for May 2021, this greatly anticipated program features Pine performing Korngold's most beloved work: his lush and complex Violin Concerto, under the baton of Maestro Salvador Brotons.

Cleveland, Ohio industrial/electronic rock band GHOSTATIC has released a brand new single 'Still Haunt My Dreams' to all major platforms via Imagen Records. 'After releasing my debut EP on Imagine Records, which was more electronic and bass heavy, I decided to stick to my roots and lean more on the heavy rock/metal style that grabbed my ears when I was an angsty teen. 'Still Haunt My Dreams' is a hit-you-in-the-face roller coaster, conveying the fear, damage, and emotional drain of never being able to escape your past,' says Adamo Fiscella, the band's vocalist/guitarist.

Actor, singer and television personality Danielle de Niese will star as ‘Elle’ in a new film of LA VOIX HUMAINE, Jean Cocteau’s one-woman drama set to music by Francis Poulenc, shot on location in London and Paris. Directed by James Kent (Aftermath, Testament of Youth), with Cinematography from Laurie Rose (High Rise, Rebecca) and designed by Peter Francis (The Father, The Children Act) the film will have its UK premiere on BBC Two in the spring.

Purple Party: A Tribute To Prince will return to New Orleans for a late-night blowout to help close out the final weekend of Jazz Fest 2022. The all-star tribute to the late, great Prince will hit Frenchmen Street’s Maison on Sunday, May 8th (technically early May 9th) at 2:00 a.m.

Shining a light on the mental health of young people, digital dance film ALEX created by Caldonia Walton and Kathy Richardson draws on personal experiences and research with a youth group, hospital and school to tell a story of three characters with the same name.
