The Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation has announced the guest lineup for February 2020 tapings of the popular a?oeLive at the Lortela?? podcast focused on Off-Broadway. Each taping lasts about 60 minutes a?" with 45 minutes of moderated conversation with host Eric Ostrow and 15 minutes for audience questions. The Wittliff Collections Announces Limited Tables-for-Two For Inaugural Festival

The Wittliff Collections, an internationally acclaimed collection of Southwest writing, photography, film and music, announces a limited availability of a?oeDate-Nighta?? tables-for-two for their inaugural Festival, taking place April 18, 2020. Just in time for Valentine's Day, these intimate Date-Night Tables are priced at $1,000 and include gala seating for two at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, access to two full bars and a buffet dinner on the mezzanine level, a chance to bid on silent and live auction items, and a great view of the program, which will include an acoustic performance by Robert Earl Keen and Ray Benson. Dolly Parton, Lee Greenwood, Lonestar, Collin Raye And More To Perform For The Gift of Music Concert

The Dustin J. Wells Foundation's The Gift of Music concert to benefit the W.O. Smith Music School and the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation announces Dolly Parton, Lee Greenwood, Lonestar, Collin Raye, T.G. Sheppard, Drew Baldridge, Abby Anderson, Artimus Pyle Band, Eric Lee Beddingfield, Red Mountain Bluegrass Band, Brad and Maisy Stella, Taylon Hope, and Scott Bass will take the stage of the historic Ryman Auditorium on January 30, 2020 at 7pm. Tickets for The Gift of Music Concert are $100 and $85 (for obstructed view) plus applicable services charges and are available online starting at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24th. The event is also the featured entertainment for The Crown Council, a group of dental teams gathering in Nashville for their 25th Annual Event.

Scenes From Childhood, a new play by Ari Brand (My Name Is Asher Lev, Fosse/Verdon, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) now playing at the Theater at the 14th Street Y through January 25. Set against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis in New York City, Scenes from Childhood tells the story of a young actor who pieces together the life and death of his father, a concert pianist. Spanning both the 1980's and present-day New York, this theatrical memoir asks: Who gets to tell your story? 

BWW Review: HEATHERS rocks at TRINITY-ON-MAIN

While you may not need a proscenium stage, proper stage rigging, and high end equipment, performing in a space not intended for theater certainly introduces some challenges. Director Michael Ricciardone gathered a team of designers to overcome the limitations of a non-traditional venue. When a talented cast meets a dedicated crew, it doesn't matter what kind of building you perform in, as long as everyone puts in their heart and soul; and you could feel that passion in Getup Stage Company's production of Heathers at Trinity-On-Main.

American Repertory Theater of WNY Presents SOMETHING WICKED

The American Repertory Theater of WNY will be co-producing with Navigation Theatre Company's in presenting the second showcasing of Western New York playwrights featuring the original work SOMETHING WICKED by James A Marzo. MEDEA is Seneca The Youngers most recognized work based off Euripides original in Ancient Greek, and one of the greatest classical tragedies of all time. Vineyard Theatre Announces Updated Preview Schedule For DANA H.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce dates for Dana H. by Lucas Hnath, adapted from interviews with Dana Higginbotham conducted by Steve Cosson, and directed by Les Waters. Previews will begin on February 11 (previously February 7) at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) with Deirdre O'Connell reprising the title role for the New York premiere direct from engagements at Center Theatre Group and The Goodman Theatre. Opening night for Dana H. is set for February 25.
