Macha Theatre Works is proud to announce their upcoming production of The Fifth Wave, directed by Amy Poisson, running March 11a?'28, 2020 at West of Lenin.

Marriott Theatre opened the smash hit GREASE on Wednesday, January 22nd! The production will close Sunday, March 15th. The Tony Award-nominated musical is directed by four-time Jeff Award winner, Scott Weinstein (Something Rotten!, Murder for Two, Shrek), with musical direction by Jeff Award winner Ryan T. Nelson and choreography by Jeff Award winner William Carlos Angulo.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. As BroadwayWorld previously announced, a production of Chess is headed to Osaka's Umeda Arts Theater, starring Ramin Karimloo and Samantha Barks! Directed by Nick Winston, the production will run on January 27, 2020. The cast also features Luke Walsh, and Takanori Sato. Fort Worth Opera's Board of Trustees announced today that they have accepted the submitted resignation of General Director Tuomas Hiltunen. Mr. Hiltunen joined Fort Worth Opera in July of 2017. During his tenure, he established security and growth by streamlining expenditures, reducing administrative costs and overhead, and maintaining a balanced operating budget.

From 27 January, the WAITRESS diner has some not-so newbies joining the team! Sara Bareilles, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show is making her West End debut as Jenna, while Olivier Award winner Gavin Creel will be playing her leading man, Dr. Pomatter. Watch the video below!

The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts will present Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) for the third consecutive year on Friday, February 7 at 8:00pm. LACO's new Music Director Jaime Martín will conduct the highly anticipated U.S. premiere of Albert Schnelzer's Burn My Letters: Remembering Clara. The program also features Dvořák's radiant Symphony No. 6 and renowned German violinist Christian Tetzlaff performing Beethoven's Violin Concerto which continues The Soraya's celebration of Beethoven's 250th anniversary this season. Upcoming Beethoven performances also includes Pinchas Zukerman conducting Beethoven Symphony No. 7 with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Jan. 24), Joshua Bell conducting Beethoven Symphony No. 5 with Academy of St. Martin in the Fields (March 4), and Lahav Shani conducting Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 with Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra featuring pianist Nelson Freire (March 25).  

Man of La Mancha /book by Dale Wasserman/music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion/ directed by Chuck Ketter/choreographed by Daniel Solis/ music direction by Douglas Austin/Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre/through February 22 This has to be my hundreth viewing of this show. As many times as I see Man of La Mancha, I relish the music and high dramatic moments of this classic piece of theatre. Such is the case when the production is top notch, with the perfect actors and highly skilled direction. Candlelight Pavilion's current revival is fantastic with artistic director John LaLonde stepping into the role of Cervantes for the sixth time. In spite of the entire cast's excellent performances, he is the main reason to see this fine production.

There's two new very exciting faces joining the diner from 27 January! Sara Bareilles, who wrote the music and lyrics for WAITRESS, will be making her West End debut by stepping into Jenna's apron, while Olivier Award winner Gavin Creel will be playing opposite her as Dr. Pomatter. Watch the video below!
