Capturing the essence of The Revivalists at this exciting time in their 10-year journey, the documentary gives the deepest insight yet into what makes the band tick against the backdrop of Muscle Shoals, a location steeped in the many classic styles of American music that informs the New Orleans - based band's signature sound. The Revivalists bring us into the studio with them as they record the Made In Muscle Shoals EP, which features brilliant re-imaginings of the band's hit 'Oh No,' 'You & I,' 'Change,' and 'All My Friends' from their latest studio album, Take Good Care (Loma Vista Recordings), as well as a soulful rendition of The Bee Gees' 'To Love Somebody' and a gorgeous stripped down piano-and-vocal take of their platinum-selling hit 'Wish I Knew You.' The EP also includes a never-before-released, brand new song 'Bitter End' about being stuck in a one-sided love.
If I said one should come to the Everyman Theatre and see a play that deals with Geschwind Syndrome you may want to pass or even google it. But do not be put off by this. Just relax and see a play that deals with it. I never heard of this Syndrome and it truly does not make a difference if you know about it beforehand or after you see it. What you will see is an individual who has fainting spells due to temporal lobe epilepsy which results in sexual behavioral disorders.

Today, Greg Dulli, frontman of The Afghan Whigs and The Twilight Singers, releases “It Falls Apart,” the second single from his first-ever solo record, Random Desire out February 21st via Royal Cream/BMG.“'It Falls Apart' allows itself to get pulled into its darker inclinations. Perpetually falling piano notes grip at the melody, miring it in a sense of inevitable collapse. Even so, the synthesizers and drums push upward, giving Dulli's vocals something to hook onto as he sings,” said Consequence of Sound. Earlier this month Dulli also released an All That Jazz inspired music video for Random Desire's lead single “Pantomima,” directed by long-time Whigs collaborator Philip Harder. Chris Stapleton's “All-American Road Show” will return this summer and fall with an extensive new run of shows including stops at Washington State's Gorge Amphitheatre on June 20, Atlanta's Truist Park on July 18, Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on October 2 and New York's Madison Square Garden on October 10. Additionally, on August 29, Stapleton will make his headline debut at Chicago's famed Wrigley Field with special guests The Highwomen, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and The Dirty Knobs with Mike Campbell. So much of the show really landed quite perfectly with the audience on the night and felt so hip and current, along with being toe-tappingly enjoyable, touching and funny it is a sincere wish that HELL ON EARTH can pull a BE MORE CHILL and find life beyond the YATC summer camp and concert stages.
Principal photography has begun on Warner Bros. Pictures' “The Batman.” Director Matt Reeves (the “Planet of the Apes” films) is at the helm, with Robert Pattinson (upcoming “Tenet,” “The Lighthouse,” “Good Time”) starring as Gotham City's vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.
