Popejoy Presents Broadway in New Mexico is pleased to announce that the Lincoln Center Theater’s critically acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe’s MY FAIR LADY is coming to Albuquerque March 21 – March 24, 2024 for six performances at Popejoy Hall.

MY FAIR LADY rolled into town this week, treating Austin to a classic musical of old. And by “of old” I mean lavish costuming, soaring vocals, a beautiful choral ensemble and lush orchestrations performed by a full orchestra. What a treat! In case you missed it over the last 67 years, the musical tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from Professor Henry Higgins, a phonetics professor, so that she might transform into a refined lady. The musical is based on George Bernard Shaw's 1913 play 'Pygmalion,' with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. 

The national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater revival of MY FAIR LADY, now playing at the Eccles Theater, is a glowing, entrancing production of the beloved musical. 

Overture Center has announced that the Lincoln Center Theater's critically acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY is coming to Madison. With eight performances, the show will run Tuesday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 26 in Overture Hall.

The Alhambra welcomes guests to the summer show Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The musical based on the 1991 film. The audience observes the characters attempt to break the curse by bringing Belle and the Beast together. Audiences will recognize the iconic songs from the 1991 movie, and additional songs from the 1994 Broadway musical.

With a little bit of luck Broadway World was able to catch the amazing masterpiece of the Lincoln Center Theater Production of MY FAIR LADY at Robinson Center, 426 West Markham St., in Little Rock, Friday, May 19. Directed by Bartlett Sher with tour direction by Samantha Saltzman, this Lerner and Loewe classic whisked us away to London to follow a flower girl on her quest to raise her station in life. I do love a good girl-power tale, especially when it is infused with song after memorable song.

Director Bartlett Sher (with tour direction by Samantha Saltzman) has reinvigorated this masterpiece of superior integration of music, lyrics and book with some salient deconstruction-- but no amount of deconstruction can take away from the emotional pull of this material.

What did our critic think of MY FAIR LADY at MARCUS CENTER? There's a loverly bit of old-school musical theater at Milwaukee's Marcus Center this week. My Fair Lady returns, and fans of the original show and film starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison will no doubt adore this production. There's something comforting about a classic Broadway show delivering on its tried and true promises. For My Fair Lady, it's strong vocals, captivating characters, sumptuous costumes, richly-designed sets, a toe-tapper here, a chuckle there. All are present in this touring Lincoln Center Theater Production, directed by Bartlett Sher.

Good and Evil: The Music of Dracula and Jekyll and Hyde is set to premiere this Halloween season. Produced by Michael Anthony Theatrical as part of The Broadway Rewind series, this one-night engagement on Friday, October 22nd will play The Green Room 42 at 9:30pm.

Ozark Actors Theatre is thrilled to announce the full cast and creative team for this summer's production of My Fair Lady, which will star Leah Berry in the role of Eliza. Berry will be joined Quinn Q. Cason in the role of Higgins, and Peter Boyer in the dual role of Pickering and Doolittle. The show will be directed by Jenny Male.

ASU Lyric Opera is fulfilling Bed ich Smetana's vision in a production that is resplendent with vocal excellence (Emily Botts, Justin Carpenter), spirited choreography (by the terrific Molly LaJoie), the vibrant colors of Alfredo Escarcega's set and Sharon Jones's costumes, the brilliant instincts of Director Dale Dreyfoos, and a highly gifted ensemble. The show runs through October 1st at ASU's Evelyn Smith Music Theatre.
