This four-day festival brings together more than 20 artists with diverse approaches to performance, inviting audiences to engage with the unexpected and to experience some of the newest voices in experimental dance. 

Center for Performance Research (CPR) has announced its 2021 Artists-in-Residence (AiRs) and Technical Resident. 

Performance Mix Festival #34: Remotely Yours is a reimagined stay-at-home festival featuring 30 artists May 4 through May 31, 2020. While the live weeklong festival of experimental dance and performance has been canceled, New Dance Alliance (NDA) will honor the festival artistst during this monthlong digital initiative by spotlighting a different artist each day on its website and social media platforms. Artists will have creative control over their biography pages, allowing them to upload and present work in all artistic mediums (photos, videos, livestreams, crafts, etc.).

CPR - Center for Performance Research, which supports the development of new works in contemporary dance, performance and related forms, has been approved for a $15,000 Art Works grant to support Artistic Residencies in 2020. CPR's Artists-in-Residence and Technical Residency programs provide low-cost, high-quality space to the development and presentation of innovative dance and performance. Overall, the National Endowment for the Arts has approved 1,187 grants totaling $27.3 million in the first round of fiscal year 2020 funding to support arts projects in every state in the nation, as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Center for Performance Research, which supports the development of new works in contemporary dance, performance and related forms is thrilled to announce Dean Moss has been named the organization's Spring 2020 Technical Resident. Dean Moss will be in residence May 4-10 developing Your marks and surface, an evening length solo premiering November 5-7, 2020 at Danspace Project.

CPR - Center for Performance Research, which supports the development of new works in contemporary dance, performance and related forms, presents Sunday Salon on January 12, 2020 at 2pm (APAP Weekend). Sunday Salon functions as an extension of CPR's Artist-in-Residence program, and will feature performative work, research materials, and ephemera from CPR's 2019 AiRs, culminating their year in residence. Featured artists are Ivy Baldwin, Leslie Cuyjet, Deborah Conton, Mee Jung, Jordan Demetrius Lloyd, jess pretty, and Katie Workum. CPR's Sunday Salons occur once or twice a year, featuring an afternoon of conversation, mingling, and light refreshments punctuated by performances and artist interventions.

CPR - Center for Performance Research, which has supported more than 1700 artists in the development of dance and performance projects, is thrilled to announce its 2020 Artist-in-Residence: J. Bouey, mayfield brooks, cruz control collective, Parijat Desai, Stuart B. Meyers, Christopher Núñez, Londs Reuter, Cyrah Ward, Nami Yamamoto, and Lu Yim. These ten dance artists will receive 150 hours - an increase of 50 hours from previous years - of deeply subsidized rehearsal space, advance booking privileges, various performance and community engagement opportunities, and for the first time, artists will receive a $1000 stipend. CPR will welcome the 2020 AiRs in January, as CPR's 2019 AiRs culminate their residencies at Sunday Salon on January 12, 2020.

The NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, announces partnerships with Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC) and the American Dance Festival (ADF), and renews partnerships with the CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI) and the New York State DanceForce, creating new platforms of support and professional opportunities for Bessie artists.
