Black Theatre United has postponed their inaugural Gala to 2023, due to scheduling conflicts. Ahead of the Gala, BTU has partnered with Charitybuzz, the leading impact marketplace for once-in-a-lifetime experiences, for an exclusive fundraising auction.

On Monday, May 9, Tony Award-winner Debbie Gravitte stormed the Birdland stage with another episode of her series “Plus 1,” with very special guest, songwriter Marc Shaiman. 

Her special guests for May 9 will include NaTasha Yvette Williams (Waitress), Christian Thompson (Ain’t Too Proud), and Hayley Podschun (Wicked), in addition to students from the Manhattan School of Music. Each show has a $40 music charge. Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street in New York.

​​​​​​​Fly More Than You Fall will be presenting industry readings of the production on May 9 at 2pm and May 10 at 11am.  Fly More Than You Fall tells the inspiring story of a young teenage girl, Malia who undergoes a frightening journey. 

The classic comedy Some Like It Hot will begin performances on Broadway this fall!
