The show recouped its costs back in December and has been running at a profit since then, and Variety reports that the closing has as much to do with the soft economy as with the need to open the theatre for other upcoming Mirvish productions.

Mirvish Productions has announced their upcoming 2009-10 season. Established and run by Producer David Mirvish, this Canadian company hosts shows at the Canon Theater, Princess of Wales Theater, Panasonic Theater, and Royal Alexandra Theater.
Announced for this season is a host of locally produced shows such as Cloud 9 and Stuff Happens, as well as touring shows like August: Osage County and Fiddler on the Roof, Young Frankenstein, and the new musical Little House On The Prairie.
