Santa Cruz Shakespeare (SCS), a nationally recognized professional theater company in Santa Cruz County with deep local roots that go back more than 40 years, has announced the selection of three plays for its Summer 2023 repertory season: Taming of the Shrew,King Lear and Lauren Gunderson's The Book of Will. Performances will take place in the Audrey Stanley Grove (The Grove) in DeLaveaga Park.

Paul Kember's Not Quite Jerusalem received huge critical acclaim following its premiere at the Royal Court in 1980. Forty years on, the Finborough Theatre have chosen to revive the play as part of their own 40th anniversary celebrations.

Santa Cruz Shakespeare has announced its 2020 summer season, with repertory performances beginning July 7 and running through August 30 at the Audrey Stanley Grove in DeLaveaga Park.

It: Chapter Two is Muschietti's follow-up to 2017's critically acclaimed and massive worldwide box office hit 'IT,' which grossed over $700 million globally. Both redefining and transcending the genre, 'IT' became part of the cultural zeitgeist as well as the highest-grossing horror film of all time.

Santa Cruz Shakespeare continues the tradition of showcasing the season's intern acting company with its celebratory Fringe production. The 2019 Fringe presents The Two Noble Kinsmen, a world premiere adaptation of Shakespeare's believed to be last play and, possible collaboration with Jacobean tragedian John Fletcher. 

Santa Cruz Shakespeare is proud to present The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare this is the last mainstage play of Santa Cruz Shakespeare's 2019 repertory season. The Winter's Tale opens Friday, August 9, at 8pm with performances at The Grove in DeLaveaga Park running through September 1, 2019.

The annual Molloy College Golf Classic will take place on Monday May 13, 2019, at both The Seawane Golf and Country Club in Hewlett, NY, and The Rockaway Hunting Club, in Cedarhurst, NY. The event benefits Molloy College student scholarships.

 Hundreds of Country radio, music industry executives and fellow artists were on hand at this morning's 17th Annual MusicRow Country Radio Meet & Greet And CountryBreakout Awards ceremony, where CJ Solar was presented with the “Independent Artist of the Year” honor. Solar hit #15 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout chart with both his “Airplane” single and his most recent hit “American Girls.”

Santa Cruz Shakespeare announces new lease terms for their theater venue The Grove in DeLaveaga Park. The City of Santa Cruz and SCS worked together to finalize the terms in the fall of 2018. The initial lease agreement in 2016 with the City of Santa Cruz was for a 2-year conditional lease. Santa Cruz Shakespeare is ready to move forward to continue its mission of making The Grove a true cultural gem in Santa Cruz.
