Playhouse Square will welcome unique shows to its stages this September, spanning comedy, dance, music and theatrical performances.

The Upshaws stars Mike Epps (Bernie Shaw), Kim Fields (Regina Upshaw), Wanda Sykes (Lucretia Turner), Page Kennedy (Duck), Diamond Lyons (Kelvin Upshaw), Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins (Aaliyah Upshaw), Jermelle Simon (Bernard Upshaw), Gabrielle Dennis (Tasha Lewis), and Journey Christine (Maya Upshaw).

Back by popular demand, comedy sensation Earthquake returns with his Father's Day Comedy Show! This year's line-up features guest stars Donnell Rawlings, Bill Bellamy and Jessica “Jess Hilarious” Moore that will ignite the stage at King's Theatre with their laughter on Saturday, June 18 at 7PM and at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Sunday, June 19 at 7PM. 

Carolines on Broadway, New York City's premier comedy nightclub, is celebrating Fathers Day in hilarious fashion with the Father and Sons Comedy Tour, a family-friendly live stand-up show starring the Kelly family, father Gerald and his sons Hunter, Isiah and Joshua, on Sunday, June 19 at 6:00 p.m., 1626 Broadway (at 49th Street).

 In the war between truth and lies, there is only one man you can trust. Comedy legend & Emmy Award winner, Katt Williams, returns to deliver the unfiltered truth and hilariously breaks down conspiracy theories in his new comedy special World War III.  World War III  marks Katt Williams’ 12th comedy special and the second original comedy special on Netflix, including Great America. The special was filmed at the Dolby Live in Las Vegas in January 2022.

With less than four weeks until the festival begins, Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival has added new shows to its lineup, including top stand-up performances, Netflix series cast events as well as a free outdoor fan experience. The festival, which now boasts over 250 live shows across over 30 venues covering Los Angeles, is produced by Netflix in association with Live Nation.

MSG Entertainment will welcome comedy events, including stand-up comedians and podcasts, to its New York City venues this spring. Between now and June, fans will be able to enjoy the best in comedy at four of the most celebrated venues in NYC: Madison Square Garden, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre.

Filmed at the Walker Theatre in his hometown of Indianapolis, with an audience that includes the Mayor, the Indiana Pacers, and his criminal lawyer since 1992, Mike Epps returns for his third hour-long Netflix comedy special. Epps exclaims what he loves about Indiana, his parents’ legacy and much more.

Production designer and creative director David Korins returns to the Oscars, having been the designer in 2019. Korins’s prolific work for Broadway includes the Tony® Award-winning musicals “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hansen,” as well as “Beetlejuice.' He has also designed for Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Andrea Bocelli, and more.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce two additional evenings of All Star Stand-up Comedy on Saturday, February 19, and Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m. live and in-person at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) announces the return of the annual Valentine’s All-Star Comedy Show starring actor and comedian Bill Bellamy, the queen of Instagram comedy Jessica “Jess Hilarious” Moore, Lavell Crawford known for his iconic role as Huell Babineaux in Breaking Bad and Freddie Ricks all take to the stage for two hilarious shows.

In the hour-long special, filmed in his hometown of Cincinnati at the Memorial Hall OTR, Owen hilariously embraces his new life as a divorceì following a very public and messy end to his marriage. Unable to diffuse rumors until now, Owen airs some of his dirty laundry and continues to dazzle viewers with more of his beloved real-life stories.

Comedy titan and Emmy Award-winning actor, Katt Williams, has announced his World War III Tour is coming to North Charleston. Performing at the North Charleston Coliseum on April 29 at 8 PM, Williams brings his unparalleled talents to the stage with new material that blends sidesplitting comedy with thought-provoking social commentary.

H.E.R. will take the stage at the 2021 “People’s Choice Awards” for a tribute performance honoring R&B singer Marvin Gaye and the 50th anniversary of the release of his renowned record “What's Going On.” Cardi B, Jack Quaid, JoJo Siwa, Laverne Cox, Leslie Jones, Lili Reinhart, Paris Jacks, Tracee Ellis Ross, Wanda Sykes, and more will present.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Method Man, and Mike Epps have been announced to join the cast of Paramount's new rap film, On The Come Up. The film is written and directed by Sanaa Lathan. Jamila C. Gray was previously announced to star. Based on Angie Thomas' novel of the same name, it takes place in the same universe as Thomas' book The Hate U Give.
