The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present a tribute to Oscar®-winning songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman on Friday, May 29, at 8 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Hosted by music producer and composer Quincy Jones, the evening will celebrate the prolific lyricists through film clips, personal remembrances from their colleagues and friends, and live performances of several Oscar-nominated songs.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Producing Director Richard M. Parison, Jr., presents a workshop of a new play, I Got Sick Then I Got Better by Jenny Allen, directed by James Lapine and Darren Katz, as part of the theater's 15th Anniversary Season. Performances will take place at BSC's Stage 2 space, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield, on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 at 8pm, with a Sunday matinee May 17 at 3pm.

Kevin Dozier Debuts LOVE-WISE At Barnes & Noble 2/18

Award-winning singer KEVIN DOZIER, who was named ?Male Performer of the Year' at the 2003 San Francisco Cabaret Competition, will debut his new CD 'LOVE-WISE' at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway at 66th Street, on Wednesday, February 18th at 6 PM as part of the ?Any Wednesday' Series of free concerts. Kevin made his highly anticipated NYC cabaret debut last June with Musical director/arranger CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE at the piano and played an equally successful return engagement in October. During his 10 years in San Francisco, he headlined at San Francisco's Plush Room, performed at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, Lush Lounge, and in various benefit concerts including 2 editions of Steve Murray's Viva Variety. He has appeared with such entertainers as Bobby McFerrin, Carmen McRae and Barry Manilow.

Starring in the reading will be Laura Osnes as Bonnie and Stark Sands as Clyde.

Bay Street Theater Announces CABARET AT THE BAY 2/14

Bay Street Theatre is proud to announce the arrival of its all new CABARET @ THE BAY. Beginning Valentine's night, Saturday, February 14th at 10pm, Bay Street will kick off its new weekly program offering of Cabaret, with musical performers from the East End to New York City. The Cabaret@The Bay promises to be another great addition to Bay Street's recent ?economy-buster' line-up, with tickets at just $20 for these weekly live performances. The series begins on Saturday, February 14th with the musical talents of Debra Barsha, current pianist, singer, and Assistant Conductor of Broadway's Jersey Boys. Beyond her performing talents, Ms. Barsha is also known for her songwriting, and she has penned a number of musicals for both children and adults alike. Ms. Barsha's affiliation with Bay Street dates back to 1992, when she first helped to orchestrate the original cabaret line-up. Since that time she has led an amazing career leading all the way to Broadway. Additionally, in her ?free' time, Ms. Barsha is also now serving as Bay Street's new Director of Kids Camps being offered to students of all ages during the school vacation breaks.
