Danny Mac Joins Cast of the UK Tour of AMELIE

West End performer, Strictly Come Dancing favourite and television actor Danny Mac has been confirmed to join the UK tour of Amelie The Musical, based on the much-loved, five-time Oscar-nominated film. Joining previously announced French-Canadian stage and screen star Audrey Brisson as Amelie Poulain, Danny Mac will play the sweet daydreamer Nino Quincampoix from 22 May. The role of Nino will be played by Chris Jared during performances at The Watermill Theatre.

Streaming Service BroadwayHD Gets Plucky In March

BroadwayHD is inviting subscribers this month to run away to the circus, kick-up their heels and dance along with some of the most elite Irish dancers, and enjoy some of their favorite moments from the cannon of Oscar Wilde! In March, BroadwayHD, the premier streaming service for live theater, will be adding a number of standout performances to their service including the West End production of family favorite Hetty Feather directed by the Olivier award-nominated Sally Cookson.  March will also mark a celebration of the legendary Irish playwright Oscar Wilde with four of his plays filmed from West End performances that made up Classic Spring's Oscar Wilde Season. Finally, BroadwayHD's line-up will be rounded out with a special St. Patrick's Day playlist debuting on March 13th featuring some of the most exciting Riverdance performances from around the globe.

French-Canadian stage and screen star Audrey Brisson is confirmed to play the iconic altruist Amelie Poulain in the UK's first musical adaptation of the much-loved, five-time Oscar-nominated film. Telling the story of the imaginative and shy romantic with a gift for helping others, Amelie The Musical will tour the UK in a vibrant, re-conception of the production with new orchestrations.

Sherman Theatre and Tron Theatre Company are delighted to announce the cast for their world premiere co-production of Jo Clifford's bold new play based on Shakespeare's The Taming of The Shrew. The production directed by Michael Fentiman runs at Sherman Theatre, Cardiff from 28 Feb - 16 Mar and Tron Theatre, Glasgow from 20 - 30 Mar.

The Watermill Theatre Announces New Season Including UK Premiere Of AMELIE

The Watermill Theatre's new season, announced today by Artistic Director, Paul Hart, includes the UK premiere of AMELIE, a new production of Shakespeare's MACBETH from the Watermill Ensemble, the revival of hit comedy MURDER FOR TWO, a lively adaptation of an Oscar Wilde classic and two premieres. Booking opens on Tuesday 30 October. Friends of The Watermill priority booking is open now.

Amelie The Musical, an adaptation of the much-loved 2001 award-winning film Amelie, will have its UK stage premiere at the Watermill Theatre in Newbury from 11 April to 18 May, and then embark on an extensive UK tour from 20 May. With music by Hem's Daniel Messe, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and Daniel Messe and book by Craig Lucas, this new musical adaptation of the five-time Oscar-nominated film written by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant, will be directed by Michael Fentiman, with star casting to be announced.
