Theatre Royal Plymouth Artistic Director Simon Stokes today announces that The War Has Not Yet Started, Mikhail Durnenkov's funny, eye-opening and surreal dark comedy about everyday people fighting everyday wars, opens in The Drum next month.
RSC will tour FIRST ENCOUNTER: THE TAMING OF THE SHREW in Spring 2014 with Michael Fentiman directing associate artists Katy Stephens (as Petruchio) and Forbes Masson (as Katherine.) The tour begins 6 February 2014. Performances in Stratford, followed by UK tour playing in schools and theatres in Canterbury, Bradford, Blackpool, Leicester, London and Newcastle-under-Lyme, and a visit to Ohio State University. Headlong Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company's Rupert Goold will helm a stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE at Kensington Gardens.
As previously announced, Lincoln Center Festival 2011, which runs from July 5-August 14, will offer 116 performances by ensembles and artists from some 20 countries, and will include 6 World, North American, U.S., and New York premieres unfolding in seven venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus.
