The Menier Chocolate Factory is gearing up to present the UK première of the musical of Robert James Waller's bestselling novel The Bridges of Madison County in a new staging by Trevor Nunn. The production opens on 23 July, with previews from 13 July, and runs until 14 September. Public booking is now open.

African-American director David Norwood premieres a uniquely re-envisioned American version of TENDER NAPALM by renowned British playwright Philip Ridley (The Pitchfork Disney, Mercury Fur, The Fastest Clock in the Universe). This poetic two-hander originally premiered in London in 2011, before making a limited engagement Off-Broadway debut in 2012 to critical acclaim.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, the brand-new stage musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) and a book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas) and based on the celebrated DreamWorks Animation film, today announces initial casting for its West End premiere production. Luke Brady and Liam Tamne will lead the cast as 'Moses' and 'Ramses' respectively, with Christine Allado as 'Tzipporah' and Alexia Khadime as 'Miriam'. Further casting to be announced.

With Blues in the Night about to open at the theatre, and The Son soon to transfer to the West End, Artistic Director of Kiln Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham, today announces the full cast for her production of the world premiere of Anupama Chandrasekhar's When the Crows Visit - Ayesha Dharker (Hema), Bally Gill (Akshay), Mariam Haque (Uma / Kavita), Asif Khan (Gopi / Inspector), Aryana Ramkhalawon (Ragini), Paul G Raymond (David) and Soni Razdan (Jaya). The production opens on 29 October, with previews from 23 October, and runs until 30 November.

Doctor Zhivago will make its UK concert premiere this September. The concert will star Ramin Karimloo (Yurii Andreyevich Zhivago) and Celinde Schoenmaker (Lara Guishar), with further casting to be announced, and takes place at Cadogan Hall, on 1 September, 2pm and 6.30pm.

The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, has announced the cast for the new upcoming production of comedy ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, in association with Nuffield Southampton Theatres. Richard Bean's riotous farce, based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni, is set in the colourful underworld of Brighton in the swinging sixties, combining all the elements of classic comedy into a fizzing cocktail of fun, with songs by Grant Olding.

The phenomenon of Adrian Mole and his diaries has just rolled into the West End in musical form. It's a show full of 1980s vibes, with at its hear the core themes of growing up: lovelorn teens, acne, and stealing lunch money.

Joe Prentice Productions today announces a new production of Olivier Award-winning writer Laura Wade's critically acclaimed dark comedy Posh, starring Tyger Drew-Honey (TV's Outnumbered). Heading out on a five-week UK tour, Posh will open at Oxford Playhouse on Tuesday 3 September and will tour to Cambridge Arts Theatre, Theatre Royal Bath, Rose Theatre Kingston and Theatr Clwyd, Mold until 26 October 2019. Set in 1980s Leicester, this adaptation of the best-selling book is a timeless tale of teenage angst, family struggles and unrequited love, told through the eyes of tortured poet and misunderstood intellectual Adrian Mole. This critically acclaimed production of THE SECRET DIARY OF ADRIAN MOLE AGED 13¾ - THE MUSICAL has book and lyrics by Jake Brunger, music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary, and is directed by Luke Sheppard.

An industry reading of ALICE IN WONDERLAND: AN X-RATED MUSICAL FANTASY will be held on Thursday, August 15th in New York City. ALICE IN WONDERLAND: AN X-RATED MUSICAL FANTASY is a new musical with Music by Harrison Beck, and Book and Lyrics by Maya Kates and Harrison Beck.

Fiddler on the Roof today announces a final extension until 2 November at the Playhouse Theatre, where it broke box office records with the highest advance for any production there. After wowing audiences at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Trevor Nunn's production of Fiddler on the Roof is going from strength to strength in its stint at the West End's Playhouse Theatre; not only has it extended its run until November, but it has now welcomed two new stars to Anatevka. Maria Friedman and Anita Dobson replace Judy Kuhn and Louise Gold as Yente and Golda, respectively, joining a cast led by Andy Nyman as Tevye.

Take Note Theatre today announces the full cast for the brand-new production of Sherlock Holmes and The Invisible Thing to be staged at Rudolf Steiner Theatre - a stone's throw from Holmes' 221b Baker Street. David Phipps-Davis directs Stephen Chance (Sherlock Holmes), Doug Cooper (Inspector Peacock), Philip Mansfield (Dr Watson), Imogen Smith (Betty Rochester) and Vanessa-Faye Stanley (Lucy Grendle). Written by Greg Freeman, the production opens on 25 July, with previews from 17 July and runs until 18 August.

She's only got one chance to make a thousand first impressions. 'The Girl of A Thousand Voices' follows her run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a magnificent UK tour that travels across the UK from 1st September to 26th October 2019.

Chichester Festival Theatre and Menier Chocolate Factory today announce the London premiere of Olivier Award-winner Laura Wade's The Watsons at the Menier - Wade received the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy for Home I'm Darling earlier this year. Directed by Samuel West, The Watsons played to critical acclaim at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2018. The production opens at the Menier on 30 September, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 16 November. Public booking opens on Wednesday 3 July at 9am, priority booking is open now.
