This Broadway musical inspired by Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault's well-known fairy tales is sure to captivate audiences - bringing to the stage the beloved, fairy tales you all know and love, exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.

Wright State University Theatre continues its 44th season in the Festival Playhouse with the wildly popular musical: CRAZY FOR YOU, running from November 1nd - November 18th. This show has been adored by fans for generations with a score full of such show tunes as "Slap That Bass," "Naughty Baby," and "I Got Rhythm."  The original production opened on Broadway in 1992.  This hit musical won the Tony Award and Olivier Award in London for Best Musical, and played for a record 1,622 performances on Broadway!

Perhaps the Weathervane Playhouse couldn't have found a better way to close out its 50th anniversary season than finishing the summer session with PIPPIN. Written by Stephen Schwartz (WICKED, CHILDREN OF EDEN and GODSPELL), the two-act, two-and-a-half-hour musical tells the story of Pippin (Kenneth Remaklus), a prince who longs to find meaning in his life.

When Kevin Connell started to put together the Weathervane Playhouse's slate of shows for the summer, the managing artistic director for the Newark theatre wanted to put an emphasis on dance for the Playhouse's 50th anniversary season.

Wright State University Theatre concludes its 43rd season in the Festival Playhouse with the Tony Award-winning musical: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, running from March 15th - April 8th. The Mystery of Edwin Drood is a musical inspired by the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. Drood became a Broadway smash hit, winning Tony's for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score - all by Rupert Holmes in a tour-de-force creation.
