The (Re)Born Philly Pops will present its first concert in Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center with Luck Be A Lady: The Music of Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett, a one-of-a-kind tribute to two of America’s greatest voices.

A Musical Celebration of West Philadelphia features the music of John Legend and The Roots, Patti LaBelle, John Coltrane, Jill Scott, the Stylistics, Will Smith, and Boyz II Men, performed by The Philly POPS little BIG Band with guest vocalists Melanie Ashe and Jon Williams.

The Philly POPS and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will present the School District of Philadelphia's All-City Jazz Festival. The day of free jazz performances by student and professional musicians will be held in the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater and Commonwealth Plaza on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from noon 9 p.m. This will be the POPS's fifth year presenting this event and the third year in partnership with the Kimmel Center.
The Philly POPS and the University of the Arts announced today a joint partnership to create The Philly POPS/UARTS High School All-Star Big Band. This band will be comprised of students selected for their demonstrated excellence in jazz performance. Applications are now being accepted and select students will be invited to audition. The HS All-Star Big Band will consider students in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia suburbs, New Jersey, and the Baltimore and Washington DC areas for membership.

Government employees may present their IDs at the Kimmel Center Box Office to receive one free, complimentary pair of tickets to JAZZED! running January 18, 19 and 20 (One pair per Government-issued employee ID).
