On June 21, New York's The Acting Company will host ONE ENCHANTED EVENING: RODGERS, RODGERS, AND GUETTEL, a benefit celebrated the music of Richard Rodgers, daughter Mary Rodgers, and grandson Adam Guettel. The benefit will be directed by Christopher Gattelli with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and will feature many theatrical luminaries.

Not so, if A Little Night Music's Hunter Ryan Herdlicka is any example. Fresh out of Carnegie Mellon last year, Herdlicka quite literally stepped off of the proverbial boat and into one of the most high profile productions of the season, starring as 'Henrik Egerman' in Sondheim's Night Music alongside Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones, directed by Trevor Nunn.
Butterell Begins Casting Seniors For THE LAST DANCE

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Jonathan Butterell will choreograph the upcoming new musical THE LAST DANCE. A casting notice out by J. Binder today reveals that he is seeking entirely seniors 65+ for the cast. The show's concept involves featuring performers over the age of 65 singing current pop music.

A host of Broadway artists will join the evening to support the innovative theatre company and school, The Artist's Crossing. ALL THINGS EQUAL is a provocative evening of song and spoken word that will explore the struggle of human beings to achieve equality on every front in our community, our country and the world. Barbara Cook's Spotlight Series at Washington DC's Kennedy Center brought Tony Award-Winner, Laura Benanti to it's Terrace Theatre on Friday night. On April 2, THE ADDAMS FAMILY star Nathan Lane appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about all things ADDAMS. In addition to discussing some show highlights, he revealed what it was like to perform for the Obama family, who recently took a trip to New York to see the production. Lane reveals that First Lady Michelle Obama herself took the time to write a hand written thank-you note to Lane for giving her one of the 'best nights she's ever had in the theater.'
