Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe's 24th season will be a celebration of all things that are “Simply the Best!” In its 2023-2024 theatre season, WBTT will offer fan favorites as well as new pieces leaders hope will become favorites.

Both Aime and Sonja are featured in the music video, which is both dark and soft, where light and shadow clash, just like Aime's artistic approach. Both mainstream and underground, Aime Simone is a sensitive author, full of audacity.

Lyrics and Lyricists presents What's Going On?: Songs of Change on March 25, 26 and 27. What's Going On was created and conceived by Warren Adams (Motown: The Musical) and Michael O. Mitchell (MJ: The Musical ) as a theatrical concert exploring the work of Black songwriters and artists whose music is an essential part of the American Songbook and has played an integral role in the country's culture.

 Black Violin uses their unique blend of classical and hip-hop music to overcome stereotypes while encouraging people of all ages, races and economic backgrounds to join together to break down cultural barriers. “The Black Violin Experience Tour” comes to Overture Hall on Thursday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.
