Universal Theatrical Group, Working Title Films, Greene Light Stage, Michael Coppel Entertainments and Louise Withers Presents are thrilled that Adelaide audiences will finally have a chance to experience the magic of the multi award-winning smash hit Billy Elliot the Musical for the first time. The show officially opens in Adelaide tonight, December 31, at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre.

The producers of Billy Elliot the Musical have today confirmed that unfortunately due to personal circumstances Kelley Abbey is unable to continue in her role as Mrs Wilkinson and has had to withdraw from the production.

Now, in the musical's 21st year, the producers have announced some major cast changes in the London production from Monday 10 June 2019. Mazz Murray, who has previously played Tanya in the London production, will be returning to the musical, but this time as Donna, and Kirsty Hoiles will join her as Tanya. Also new to the musical will be Cameron Burt as Sky, Melissa Nettleford as Ali, Sophie Matthew as Lisa, Taylor Bradshaw as Eddie and Danny Nattrass as Pepper. They will be joining Ricky Butt as Rosie, Richard Trinder as Sam, Neil Moors as Harry, Stephen Beckett as Bill and Lucy May Barker as Sophie. Caroline Deverill continues to play the role of Donna at certain performances.

The sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! will have its star-studded gala premiere at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts tonight, 17 January 2019. Adult casting has been announced for the 10th Anniversary Australian Tour of Billy Elliot the Musical which opens at Sydney Lyric Theatre in October 2019 followed by seasons in Melbourne at the Regent Theatre from February 2020, Crown Theatre Perth from June 2020, QPAC's Lyric Theatre in Brisbane from July 2020 and the Festival Theatre at Adelaide Festival Centre from September 2020.
