National Black Theatre has announced a one week extension of AMANI - the first mainstage co-production of its 2022-2023 programmatic 55th season themed Love, A Ritual Of Repair.

Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer of A STRANGE LOOP Michael R. Jackson played the role of Usher in yesterday's matinee and evening performances of the show at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. 

Tonight's performance of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, A Strange Loop,'was canceled just as the audience arrived at the theatre.

Next week, 54 BELOW will ring in the holidays with some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. The exciting lineup includes Tony Award-winner Patti LuPone, a star-studded SISMAS featuring Sis Thee Doll, Rachel Zegler, and Seth Rudetsky, Broadway's Darius De Hass and more!

Trevor Noah will host a special Black Theater Night performance at A STRANGE LOOP on Tuesday, November 29th at 7pm at The Lyceum Theatre.

BroadwayWorld was in the recording studio with Mars Rucker of A Strange Loop as they laid down their vocal track of the song “Misty”.  Originally written by Erroll Garner and Johnny Burker it has been given an updated version for the holiday season with a new arrangement by Ben Cohn who also was the Music Director. The Tony Award-winning Best Musical A STRANGE LOOP will play its final Broadway performance on January 15, 2023. Michael R. Jackson’s A STRANGE LOOP opened April 26, at the Lyceum Theatre. A Strange Loop was named Best Musical by the Tony Awards.

Beginning today, Friday, August 12 at 11AM, same day $55 digital rush tickets will be available for Broadway’s A STRANGE LOOP. Digital rush tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, throughout the day, until 30 minutes before the performance time. One person may buy up to 2 tickets at $55 each.
