Last night, MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) hosted the 19th annual “Night Before” party, reimagined as a special virtual edition.  Hosted by Wayne Brady, the evening raised nearly $2 million, which will be used to support those in the industry who benefit from MPTF’s charitable programs and services, especially during this unprecedented time. 

Theatre of NOTE has announced the 25th Annual Hollywood Performance Marathon, on Saturday, January 18 beginning at 3pm and continuing until dawn, at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd. (just North of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Swing Left-Los Feliz and Stand Up 4 America announced today that comedy legend and Emmy Award-winner Dana Gould will host CHRISTMAS WITH A Z! as 'Dr. Zaius.' The mind-blowing evening of holiday music, comedy and cocktails will benefit Field Team 6, a national volunteer organization whose simple mission is to register Democrats in crucial battlefields across the country to take back the White House. The fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 8:00 pm (doors open at 7:00 pm) at The Satellite, 1717 Silverlake Blvd., in Silver Lake. For those too young to remember the vaudevillian style lounge shows popular in the 50s and 60s in Las Vegas, where an iconic and often talented performer in their own right hosted other acts to keep gamblers entertained as they visited the lounge bar for a drink, looked for a companion for the night, or needed time to recover from a huge loss at the tables, you can now experience a little bit of old Vegas, right here in Hollywood. And I can tell you, I don't remember laughing as hard as I did the night I attended THE TONY MARTINI VARIETY HOUR at Three Clubs Cocktail Lounge, rumored to be the exact same place where Frank Sinatra would hang out with his assorted Rat Pack buddies, friends, and lovers during their own Las Vegas heyday. And that vibe still exists in the room where those great entertainers wowed the crowds so many years ago.

The next performance of The Tony Martini Variety Hour is on Thursday, July 26, at 8pm. The show plays on the fourth Thursday of every month.

Producer Steven Espinosa announced today that The Tony Martini Variety Hour is extending its run at Three Clubs Lounge in Hollywood through the end of 2018. The show plays on the fourth Thursday of every month at 8pm. 

The 11th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival, partnered with CineVegas,announced this morning the initial programming lineup for the 2018 Festival, to be held at Brenden Theatres and Palms Casino Resort June 6 – 10. The lineup includes a mix of feature films and documentaries that have been favorites on the international festival circuit, as well as new additions to this year's Festival - live discussions and live comedy. 2018 also marks the first year with seasoned film festival programming veteran Mike Plante serving as the Festival's Captain of Strategy.
