The Exponential Festival presents and promotes experimental performances created by New York-based artists working across all mediums. 

The festival will be presented on Governors Island multiple times each day from 11:30 am-4:30 pm. The festival will perform at various places across the island, using the local environments and sounds of the park.

Founding Artistic Director Akia Squitieri announced today that Rising Sun Performance Company will be presenting a rotation of children’s plays to be performed in person outdoors on Governors Island for two days August 21st & 22nd.

The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, now in their tenth year, kicks off their rigorous professional experience for artists 25 and under tonight with their own production of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, featuring the 43 program participants and 12 guest writers from previous years of the Nationals program.

The Orchard Project today announced its 2021 programs as well as the names of participating artists and companies.

The second installment of Moxie Arts NY's virtual fourth season, The Moxie Commission, premieres Friday, May 28th at 8pm ET / 5pm PT featuring three world-premieres: Good Mourning Pt. 2, The Next Best Thing, and Techno Paper Planes Pt. 2. The show will be available to stream on-demand through Monday, May 31st.

Award-winning theatre company The Anthropologists is launching an artist-led digital storytelling series, No Pants In Tucson: Digital. Founded in 2008, The Anthropologists is a women-led organization, centering women's experiences and putting strong female narratives at the forefront. 

Moxie Arts NY has announced its reimagined fourth season: The Moxie Commission. The Moxie Commission is a new program built to create and launch new plays written by and about women+ which are specifically crafted for virtual performance.

After an extraordinary year with over 300 original pieces produced, The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues teamed up with You Gotta Believe last night to finish 2020 with a bang! In the year’s final edition, a stellar lineup of writers and actors came together virtually to write, rehearse, perform and produce 18 all-new pieces in just 24 hours.

Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company continues their digital 2020-2021 season with the third installment of our reading series, FEMFEST HOUSTON, a series that focuses on new plays by women of various demographics. This round will be BLACK WOMEN’S VOICES,  and will feature two full plays and four short plays by African American women. 

For the last week, the extraordinary company of The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals have been participating in intensive workshops, panel discussions with industry leaders, and producing their own Viral Monologues - and their efforts will all culminate in their own LIVE virtual edition of The 24 Hour Plays, streaming TONIGHT at 8 PM ET.

Tonight, the 2020 company of The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will begin their weeklong intensive with their very own edition of the Viral Monologues, available on IGTV.

PrismHouse Theatre Company presents the East Coast Premiere of ABLAZE: an a cappella musical thriller with a Book, Music, and Lyrics by Matthew B. Zrebski this August at The New Ohio Theatre. Performances begin this Friday August 16th and run through August 24th.
