Michael Longoria brings Holiday Hop to the Green Room 42! He is singing to raise money and awareness to a wonderful organization bringing free theater programming to high school students in New York City called Opening Act. It was formed by a group of actors and educators 20 years ago with goals of offering free after school theater programming to public schools in New York City.

Michael Longoria will sing us home for the holidays with a Christmas concert on Tuesday, December 17 at 9:30pm at The Green Room 42 in New York City. The one night only concert is produced by Longoria and Taylor James of 42West PR as a benefit for the students of Opening Act, an organization that seeks to level the playing field for students by specifically partnering with NYC schools that have lower than average graduation rates (as few as 33% of students graduating in four years) and an evident lack of theater programming.

Kristin Chenoweth will return to the Broadway stage in a live concert celebrating the release of her new album FOR THE GIRLS (Concord Records, produced by Steve Tyrell), with Music Direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and Presented by James L. Tony Award-nominated actor Mario Cantone (Broadway: Assassins, Laugh Whore) will star in the world premiere production of Bliss, an original musical fantasy that flips the traditional princess narrative upside down. Cantone, the comedic genius best known for playing Anthony Marentino in Sex and the City, will star as Sir Pincus Glimmermore, the princesses' fairy godfather. Bliss, which is the 23rd new musical produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre, features a book, music, and lyrics by Emma Lively and Tyler Beattie and will showcase direction by Tony Award-nominated Sheryl Kaller (Broadway: Mothers and Sons, Next Fall), who is one of only fourteen women in Tony history to receive a nomination in the Best Director category. Additional casting for Bliss will be announced at a later date.

Celebrated New York stage actor and stand-up comedian Mario Cantone returns to Café Carlyle, October 22 - 26. He gained critical acclaim with his Tony-nominated one-man show Laugh Whore, from its appearance at the Cort Theatre on Broadway to the Showtime special. The previous theatre season saw Cantone starring in the Tony-winning Assassins by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman. Both hit shows were directed by four-time Tony-winner Joe Mantello. An accomplished stage actor, Cantone has appeared on Broadway in the role of 'Buzz' in Terrence McNally's award-winning dramatic comedy, Love! Valor! Compassion! and 'Stephano' in Shakespeare's The Tempest at the Public Theater. Mario Cantone starred in the 2007 release of Sony's animated film, Surf's Up, and appeared in the hilarious film The Aristocrats. On television, Cantone can currently be seen as 'Anthony,' Charlotte's wedding-planner-with-attitude, now that HBO's Sex and the City is in syndication on TBS, E! and many other stations, as well as the Sex and the City movie franchise.
