Tonight, The 24 Hour Plays releases its first-ever series of Viral Monologues on IGTV @24hourplays and at https://24hourplays.com/viral-monologues/. 20 of the theatre world's top writers have been paired with 20 game actors and have written unique pieces just for them. From 6 PM until midnight, the new monologues will be published, one every 15 minutes.

Just last night, Atlantic Theater Company presented their 35th Anniversary Gala, Couples' Choice, at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue). This year, Atlantic asked a few exciting power couples to choose a song they love and their favorite musician to perform it.

Variety reports that Broadway actor Ben Schnetzer will join the cast of 'Y: The Last Man' on FX. The actor, who made his Broadway debut in 'The Nap,' will play Yorick Brown.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will host a 25th Anniversary AlumniJam every Monday night in January. These four events will showcase 15 alumni playwrights who will revisit past productions and share new never-before-seen work. Three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, New York Times best-selling poet, and critically acclaimed actor Jill Scott will bring her 20th Anniversary Tour to the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Sunday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. Before having the #1 album in the country with 'The Light of The Sun', performing at The White House, being named People Magazine's Top TV Breakout Star of 2010 and appearing on VH1 Divas alongside Aretha Franklin, the triple threat began her career collaborating with musical icons, The Roots, Will Smith, and Common in the late 90s. In 2000, she released her much anticipated debut record, Who is Jill Scott? Words & Sounds, Vol. 1, a double platinum album that earned Scott several Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist. Two more critically acclaimed albums followed, Beautifully Human: Words & Sounds, Vol. 2 and The Real Thing: Words & Sounds, Vol. 3 which garnered two more Grammy Awards and spawned multiple worldwide tours.

Transport Group announced today that Denise Dickens, formerly of Abingdon Theatre Company, will join the company as its new executive director, replacing Lori Fineman, outgoing executive director. Dickens will join founding Artistic Director Jack Cummings III at the helm of the off-Broadway, award-winning, non-profit theatre company.

Pure Imagination Projects will present a workshop production of a world premiere play, MARVELS OF MAGIC, written by Andrew Simmons and directed by Enrico De La Vega. MARVELS OF MAGIC will perform on Friday, December 13 & Saturday, December 14 at 8pm and Sunday, December 15 at 3pm at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

Atlantic Theater Company's World Premiere play Sunday, by Jack Thorne, and directed by Lee Sunday Evans, opened just last night, September 23 at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street). The production is a limited run through October 13, 2019.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, presents the Los Angeles premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Good Boys starring Betsy Brandt as Elizabeth Hardy, and directed by Carolyn Cantor on the mainstage of Pasadena Playhouse.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, is pleased to announce that casting is complete for the Los Angeles premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Good Boys starring Betsy Brandt (CBS' Life in Pieces, and AMC's Breaking Bad) as Elizabeth Hardy, and directed by Carolyn Cantor on the mainstage of Pasadena Playhouse. The production will play June 26 through Sunday July 21; the press opening is June 30 at 5:00pm.
