Photos: THE BOYS IN THE BAND Opens at Madison Lyric Stage

Madison Lyric Stage, a professional theater company serving the Connecticut shoreline and the Connecticut River valley, will present Mart Crowley’s landmark play The Boys in the Band for eight performances July 22 – August 1.  Both hilarious and poignant, the dark comedy will be presented outdoors under a large tent on the grounds of Madison’s Deacon John Grave House.

Dramatists Guild Announces 2021 Horton Foote Award Recipients

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced they will present the 2021 Horton Foote Playwriting Award to five amazing playwrights – Carla Ching, Kia Corthron, Aleshea Harris, Donja R. Love, and Mfoniso Udofia - at the Dramatists Guild’s awards presentations later this summer.

Venice Theatre Hires Benny Sato Ambush as Artistic Director

Benny Sato Ambush, most recently from Boston, MA where he formerly served as Senior Distinguished Producing Director in Residence at Emerson College, will begin work with Venice Theatre as Artistic Director in late July of this year.

The American Opera Project's Composers and The Voice Awarded NEA Grant

 The American Opera Project (AOP) has been awarded a $25,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support Composers & the Voice (C&V).
