The Players has announced the return of theatre for the young – and the young at heart – with The Emperor’s New Clothes, opening July 15th at 10:30am! Directed and choreographed by Ilyse Robbins, with music direction by Tim Goss, The Emperor’s New Clothes will be performed by the amazing Players’ Second Company.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the musical event of the summer: Ragtime The Musical.

The Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center, a cherished tuition-free performing arts education program for elementary and high school students in Los Angeles' Leimert Park, will stage the one-act Lynn Ahrens / Stephen Flaherty coming-of-age musical “Once on This Island” as its summer theatrical production.

The Tony-award-winning musical, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, based on a Caribbean interpretation of Hans Christian Anderson’s, The Little Mermaid, will come to the Baxter Flipside for a short season from 8 to 16 July 2022 at 7pm with matinees at 2pm.

The American Theatre Guild, the largest not-for-profit touring Broadway presenter in the nation, unveils its highly anticipated 2022–2023 BROADWAY AT THE FOX IN RIVERSIDE SERIES. The series will include the following touring productions: INLAND PACIFIC BALLET’S THE NUTCRACKER, R.E.S.P.E.C.T., FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, ANASTASIA, and ON YOUR FEET! Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Once on This Island, Ragtime), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

The Keegan Theatre has announced its 26th Season in 2022-2023, featuring 8 mainstage productions in its intimate and welcoming theater home in Dupont Circle. The season includes the world premieres of 2 newly commissioned works from DC area playwrights, 1 regional premiere, 1 DC premiere, 2 musicals, and a Pulitzer Prize-winning play.  

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre has announced its 2022-2023 season. The 2022-2023 Season at Metropolis includes a series of popular theater productions including Cabaret, Xanadu and more!
