Monkey Barrel Comedy has announced its line-up of special shows as part of their Fringe 2022 programme. 

Underbelly Festival has announced the line-up for London Comedy Allstars at Cavendish Square every Friday night. London Comedy Allstars is your one-stop shop for the biggest laughs, the best location and your new favourite summer night out. Every Friday at 9:30pm until  29th July, Underbelly Summer Festival presents a night of the best comedy talent on offer.

Today (Thu 5 May) Assembly Festival, adds a further 90+ shows to its biggest and most dazzling line-up to date which includes returning Fringe favourites, theatrical debuts, international circus, comedy newcomers and the return of The Flick - Assembly’s late-night den off George Square. During August, self-proclaimed Duchess Diane Chorley will be hosting live entertainment at The Flick until 5am.

’Cinderella’ will get a red carpet premiere at Everyman King’s Cross on Saturday 4 December. It will then roll out to Showcase cinemas across the UK, then a week later VUE, Light Cinemas, Omniplex and 12 independents.

The Cosmic Shambles Network has announced an enviable list of further guests for this year's season of Nine Lessons and Carols for Curious People from King's Place in London. 

Last year, with hundreds of pantomimes cancelled and theatres across the country closed, 'Blue Peter' legend Peter Duncan filmed an interactive version of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' in his own giant back garden - starring as Dame Trott as well as co-directing.

The cast includes F. Murray Abraham, Andrew Lincoln, Glynn Turman, and more! In the series, Guillermo del Toro has curated a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror.

Host Robin Ince will be joined by a plethora of amazing guests from stand-ups to scientists and musicians to mathematicians. His guests will include Dr Helen Czerski, Issy Suttie, Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Mark Watson, Prof Chris Jackson, Bec Hill, Prof Anil Seth, Prof Andrea Sella, John-Luke Roberts, David Lindo, Natalie Haynes, Matt Parker, Bobby Seagull, Dr Pragya Agarwal, Dr Ben Goldacre, Prof Chris Lintott, Gemma Arrowsmith, Dr Camilla Pang with many more still to be announced.

Among the first shows to be back on stage are 2019 hit show Bromance (3 – 29 Aug) – a cutting edge show that wittily explores male companionship and its limits, from experimental acrobatic circus company Barely Methodical Troupe, and Nonsense Room Productions' interactive musical show You Choose (3 – 22 Aug) based on Pippa Goodhard and Nick Sharratt's picture book. 

In 2020, with the great tradition of the family pantomime cancelled in many towns and cities across the land, riding to the rescue to make sure that panto-loving audiences didn’t miss out was ‘Blue Peter’ legend Peter Duncan with his biggest and best “Here’s One I Made Earlier” challenge!

Assembly Festival will host an exciting mix of theatre, dance, circus, comedy, music, and more, from Thursday 29 July to Sunday 29 August. Alongside this there will be a stimulating digital programme presented live or on-demand hosted on Assembly's new online venue, Assembly Showcatcher.   

As well as solo shows from the incredible roster of acts, The BIG SHOW returns to the Fringe! Monkey Barrel Comedy's top rated, sold out weekend extravaganza is on every night at 22:15, with a top mixed-bill line-up each evening.

Former Blue Peter presenter, writer, director and regular pantomime dame, Peter Duncan, decided to film a pantomime in his back garden to entertain audiences at home and in cinemas this Christmas.

In March, theatres across the UK closed, and hundreds of pantomimes were cancelled due to the pandemic. Blue Peter legend Peter Duncan - a critically acclaimed panto dame, writer, producer and director – decided to film Jack and the Beanstalk in his back garden as an online alternative to be downloaded by families to watch together at home over Christmas.

'Blue Peter' legend Peter Duncan has signed deals with UK cinema chains Everyman and Showcase to give a cinema release to his socially distanced online pantomime, 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.
