Just in time for Modernism Week and our peak tourist season, Palm Canyon Theatre presents a world premiere preview of an original musical, Palm Springs Getaway.  Described as “A nostalgic romp through Palm Springs,” vignettes of the contributions of such settlers as John McCallum, Nellie Coffman and Miss Cornelia, the mid-century design luminaries, and of course a parade of Hollywood celebrities.  You’ll spot Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball, Sonny and Cher, Keely Smith, Shirley Temple, Marilyn Monroe, and even The King, Elvis himself!

​​​​​​​To share an outstanding solo show with the widest possible audience, Theater for the New City has extended its world premiere production of 'I Just Want To Tell Somebody,' written and performed by Ronald 'Smokey' Stevens, through February 6.

The Score to Screen panels feature conversations between Common and Patrick Warren and Amy Poehler and David Schwartz. Each discussion gives an inside look at the creative process of incorporating music in film while delving into the relationship between a composer and the film’s director or producer.

Smokey Stevens, one of Broadway's great musical comedy performers, has adapted his autobiographical novel, 'I Just Want to Tell Somebody: The Autobiography of Ronald Smokey Stevens,' into a one-man, two character theater production.

The How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying film, based on the musical of the same name, is set to debut on January 4th.

The Paley Center for Media announces the return of the 39th Annual PaleyFest LA on Saturday, April 2 through Sunday, April 10 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
