Donna McKechnie, the Tony Award Winning Actress for A Chorus Line was in a different line last night. The super star was in The Lineup hosted by Susie Mosher at the Birdland Theater. Wether you're upstairs, downstairs, or on the line waiting to get into the club, there are celebs all over the place at Birdland and last night was no different. Tony Award winner Chita Rivera was in the house cheering a performance by her daughter Lisa Mordente who sang in Susie's wild variety show. It also wasn't to shabby that TV ( Madam Secretary) Film (Jersey Boys) and Broadway star Erich Bergen was in last night's Lineup too.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented singer/pianist Steve Ross in “Songs I Love” last night. Steve looked back at his long career and revisited songs from his first recording (1979) and his more recent efforts celebrating Alan Jay Lerner, Noel Coward and Stephen Sondheim. KT Sullivan who is currently appearing with Steve at the Irish Repertory Theatre in LOVE, NOEL: The Songs and Letters of Noel Coward (written and devised by Barry Day) joined Steve for a few songs.

Devised by her long-time collaborators, musical director Christopher Denny and director Barry Kleinbort, 'STAGES' refers to the theates and venues where Ms. Dallas displayed her formidable gifts as a singer and top tier interpreter of popular song, as well as to the formative stages in a life, stages that have taken her from a small town in Southern Illinois to the rarefied hothouse atmosphere of New Orleans, Carnegie Hall and on to dazzling nights in the West End with Sammy Cahn and Dame Cleo Laine, culminating in several Royal Variety performances.

'What the world needs now is love, sweet love...' And with those lyrics Marilyn Maye returned to the Iridium Music Club and set the theme for her Valentine's week show, 'Always From The Heart'.

On Sunday and Monday nights, Broadway/television star Anita Gillette had a ball celebrating Irving Berlin.  Of course, she sang many Berlin standards, and a few unearthed gems.  But that's not what made the evening extra-special.  You see, Anita had a real-life friendship with the composer.  It all started during the creation of a Broadway show called Mr. President, written by Berlin, and starring Gillette.  

Producers Darlene Kaplan, Laura Janik Cronin and Scott Newsome, in association with Alec Seymour, SPF Group and Susanne Adamski, present the Off-Broadway premiere of The Stone Witch, a play by Shem Bitterman (A Death in Colombia, Influence). Don't Tell Mama is thrilled to present the return engagement of West End & Broadway star and Olivier Award-nominee Liz Robertson in 'Lerner Without Loewe,' an affectionate musical tribute to her late husband, Alan Jay Lerner, the internationally acclaimed author of My Fair Lady, currently in previews at The Vivian Beaumont Theatre and opening on April 19. Having debuted the show in a one night engagement last April, she now returns for three (3) performances -  Friday, April 13 at 7pm, Saturday, April 14 at 8pm, and Sunday, April 15 at 6pm. The evening is directed by Barry Kleinbort with musical direction by Ron Abel.
