MTC's THE EXPLORERS CLUB Opens Tonight Off-Broadway

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of THE EXPLORERS CLUB, the new play by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin, directed by Marc Bruni, opens tonight, Thursday, June 20 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The production began previews on May 28.

Way Off Broadway Presents LEGALLY BLONDE, Now thru 8/24

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 2013 Season is the year Broadway and Hollywood meet with all of the productions at the theatre being hits both on the silver screen and Great White Way. The season kicked off with the funny and heartwarming Steel Magnolias, followed by Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 - The Musical. Beginning today, June 14th, the theatre is going pink when it opens Legally Blonde for its summer run.

Playwright Nell Benjamin and Explorer Sylvia Earle Set for Talk After MTC's THE EXPLORERS CLUB, 5/31

On Friday, May 31, Tony nominated writer Nell Benjamin and legendary deep-sea explorer Sylvia Earle - one of the first women admitted to the real Explorers Club in New York - will engage in a conversation to talk about their experiences in their respective fields, following the 8 PM performance of Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere production of THE EXPLORERS CLUB, a madcap comedy now in previews at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The conversation will be moderated by Peabody Award-winning journalist and author Lynn Sherr.

Community Theatre of Little Rock to Close 57th Season with LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL, 7/12-28

The Community Theatre of Little Rock is pleased to close out its 57th season with its Summer Musical 'Legally Blonde: The Musical' by Heather Hach, Laurence O'Keefe, and Nell Benjamin. Show dates are July 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th at 7:30 pm and July 14th, 21st and 28th at 2pm, to be held at the PUBLIC Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, next to Horn's Men's Store in downtown Little Rock.

Legally Blonde opened in Melbourne to a standing ovation that was well deserved for a particularly talented cast . This production is slick. From beginning to end it has everything a musical comedy needs. Dallas Theater Center to Host 2013 Skokos Learning Lab Showcase, 4/27

Dallas Theater Center hosts the fourth annual Skokos Learning Lab Showcase, the culmination of the Ted and Shannon Skokos Learning Lab collaboration between DTC and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTW), on Saturday, April 27 in the Studio Theatre at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. See Live Bats at Friday's Opening of BAT BOY at the Bonstelle Theatre,4/12-4/21

The Organization for Bat Conservation at the Cranbrook Institute of Science will bring live bats to the opening night of Bat Boy: The Musical by Keythe Farley, Brian Flemming, and Laurence O'Keefe at the Bonstelle Theatre on April 12, 2013.
