The League of Professional Theatre Women, an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, announces their 38th season of programming, events, and advocacy along with new officers and board members. All events this season will be presented online via Zoom, unless otherwise noted. 

The New York City-based Kairos Italy Theater along with the Italy-based KIT Italia and Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU announced today that they will postpone the eighth annual In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY, the festival of Italian theater which was originally scheduled to run April 27-May 11, 2020 in all five boroughs of NYC.

On May 18, Kairos Italy Theater and NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò held the online event KIT Intl playwrights series 2020 dedicated to Women in Comedy.

The New York City-based Kairos Italy Theater along with the Italy-based KIT Italiana and Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU announced today that they will postpone the eighth annual In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY, a festival of Italian theater which was originally scheduled to run April 27-May 11 in all five boroughs of NYC.

KIT-Kairos Italy Theater turns 20 in 2020 but the celebration starts now. 'It's going to be a very special season - says Laura Caparrotti, the founder and artistic director - as in 2020 KIT is turning 20 and Franca Valeri, the Italian playwright we all love so much, is turning 100.

In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY announces the cast and directors for the staged readings of Italian plays in translation which are being presented as part of In Scena! 2019.

The seventh annual In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY will kick off on Monday, April 29 at 7pm at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marim at NYU (24 West 12th Street, New York, NY 10011) with the Opening Night Rainbow Jubilee, an international celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) in association with Kairos Italy Theater will present the United States Premiere of Butterflies by Emanuele Aldrovandi in a translation by Carlotta Brentan

 The Immigrant Arts Coalition, an advocacy support group comprised of New York City-based cultural organizations, hosted its second annual summit from August 5ththrough 8that the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City. Entitled the Francesca Cernia Slovin Immigrant Arts & Women's Empowerment Summit, this 4-day summit celebrated immigrants hailing from across the globe who have contributed to America's vibrant cultural mosaic.

Entitled the Francesca Cernia Slovin Immigrant Arts & Women's Empowerment Summit, this 4-day celebration of the contributions of those from abroad whose culture has contributed to the country's vibrant mosaic is hosted by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene and takes place from August 5th- 8th at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Edmond J. Safra Plaza, 36 Battery Place in New York City.  Free admission to the Museum of Jewish Heritage will be offered with the purchase of every ticket.

This year's Fest celebrated women with 7 female authors represented as well as 6 female directors

KIT Italia, The International Theatre and KIT - Kairos Italy Theater have announced the launch of OnStage!festival, a new Festival of American Theater in Rome, Italy. The first edition of the festival will run January 21st - 27th 2019, featuring a selection of the best American independent theater taking the stage in the Italian capital. Submissions are now open for its main 'Shows' category as well as for the 'OnStage! Award' for US-based playwrights. Deadlines are March 30th, 2018 for 'Shows' and June 20th, 2018 for the 'OnStage! Award.'
