'Talk amongst yourselves' as hosts Bobby Traversa and Kristina Miller-Weston discuss 2003's Taboo on episode two of new Broadway podcast MY FAVORITE FLOP!

'MY FAVORITE FLOP', a new podcast celebrating Broadway's fabulous failures and musical misfits, premieres today, January 5th. 

The year is 1967, the place is San Francisco, and the conflict? A young and optimistic mixed-race couple has just announced their upcoming plans of marriage to unsuspecting parents. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner extracts the nuances and subtleties of prejudice and plops them center stage, both literally and figuratively, in the living room of the liberal, upper-class Drayton family.

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to present the West Coast Premiere of GRUMPY OLD MEN: THE MUSICAL, book by Dan Remmes, music by Neil Berg, lyrics by Nick Meglin, (Adapted from the Warner Bros. motion picture written by Mark Steven Johnson), additional orchestrations by Phil Reno, choreography by Michele Lynch, musical direction by Benet Braun and direction by Matt Lenz. Much like the book Matilda by Roald Dah, the musical of the same name depends upon the talents, moxie, and sass of a small girl.  Luckily, MATILDA the musical now playing at Moonlight Amphitheatre through August 3rd has a very talented lead actress named Charity Rose, along with an incredibly talented cast, to bring this story to life on stage.

(mostly)musicals is BACK with their 33rd edition, BODY Language (a cabaret for every BODY), on Monday June 3rd at the newly renamed Feinstein's at Vitello's! The evening will be in the capable HANDS of Gregory Nabours at the piano and will feature performers you'll be HEAD over HEELS for, from Broadway and LA, singing songs about ANATOMY!

Music director Gregory Nabours led a jingling (ring-ting-tingling too!) evening, featuring Alli Miller (CHERRY POPPINS), Amy Engelhardt (BASTARD JONES), Clent Bowers (B'way: CATS, BIG), Emily Clark (Stealing Focus), Gabriel Gonzalez (La Verdad), Iara Nemirovsky (National tour: SCHOOL OF ROCK), Jeffrey Polk (B'way: FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE), Kelley Dorney (IN A BOOTH AT CHASEN'S), Kristina Miller (JERSEY BOYS), Jonny Lee Jr. and Justin Anthony Long (CITY OF DREAMS), Juan Lozano (2 Cents Theatre Company), Keith and Laura Nicole Harrison (EMOJILAND), Natalia Vivino (CHILDREN OF EDEN at 5-Star Theatricals), and Shawn Ryan ('America's Got Talent'). The evening also showcased a guest performance from the cast of the critically acclaimed Greenway Court production of THE COLOR PURPLE, and, as always, the open mic afterparty! After a sold-out Wallis debut in July, A Little New Music will spotlight another lineup of emerging musical theatre talents for The Sorting Room's 2018 Winter Session at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. A Little New Music's audiences will enjoy original musical theatre songs firsthand before they hit Broadway or the regional circuit.

Also performing that evening, special guests Broadway songstress fresh from the hit show 'Hamilton' Amber Iman (Hamilton, Shuffle Along) and Billboard featured singer/songwriter Crystal Monee Hall (The Mikey Hart Band, RENT). Also with Kristina Miller, Shaul Eshet, Eli Menezes, Mark Stewart, and Tom Griffin. This soul jam will have your hands up and head bobbing straight through the new season.
