(mostly)musicals will return to Upstairs at Vitello's (formerly the E Spot Lounge) for their 24th edition, Independent MEANS, on Monday, July 3rd at 7:30pm.

Get ready for an evening of musical FIREWORKS on Independence Eve! We'll light up the night with incredible talent including: Amanda Kruger (THE MITCHELL SANITORIUM CABARET), Arthur Ross (national tour: ELF), Cassandra Nuss (FIRST DATE in San Diego), Caitlin Gallogly (RECORDED IN HOLLYWOOD at the Kirk Douglas), Daniel Stewart (B'way: SPRING AWAKENING), Jacquelin Lorraine (WICKED LIT), Jason Michael Snow (B'way: BOOK OF MORMON), Jonny Lee Jr. (CITY OF DREAMS), Kristina Miller (SERRANO THE MUSICAL), Lesley McKinnell (national tour A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER), Matt Valle (SKULLDUGGERY at SacRed Fools Theater Company), Michael D'Elia (#HFF17: COMIC CON), Rhett George (B'way: MEMPHIS, WICKED), Ryan Dietz (FROZEN: Live at the Hyperion), and maybe a few surprises TBA! They'll perform songs about being INDEPENDENT from writers including Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Kander & Ebb, Dolly Parton, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Carner & Gregor, Leslie Bricusse, and more. Plus Vitello's great food and drinks and cool air conditioning -and 3 time Ovation Award winner Gregory Nabours at the piano followed by an open mic afterparty hosted by Emily Clark (#HFF17: 13th GRADE) and Mark Jacobson (#HFF17: NICKY)!

(And there will be party favors!)

Doors open at 6:30pm for dinner and drinks, showtime is 7:30pm with an open mic afterparty immediately following.
