(mostly)musicals welcomed a full house of patrons and performers HOME to Upstairs at Vitello's on Monday, November 6, 2017 for their 26th edition, *no place like HOME*, a night of songs about the places we come from - and finding the places we belong. Led by 3 time Ovation Award winner Gregory Nabours at the piano, *no place like HOME* featured a stellar array of talent including Broadway's Sharon McNight (Tony Award nominee: STARMITES), Michael-Leon Wooley (LITTLE SHOP, THE MUSIC MAN), Jeffrey Polk (FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE), and Wendy Rosoff (42ND STREET); plus our HOME team of Amber Liekhus (AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' at La Mirada), Amanda Kruger (THE MITCHELL SANITORIUM CABARET), Ayme Olivo (EVITA at Musical Theatre West), Christine Tucker (world premiere: EMPIRE at La Mirada), Kristina Miller (world premiere: SERRANO THE MUSICAL), Emily Clark (Mr. Burns at Sacred Fools), Justin Anthony Long (3D's JOSEPH), Lesley McKinnell (national tour: GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE), Matt Valle (SKULLDUGGERY at Sacred Fools), and Rudy Martinez (Welk Resorts' A CHRISTMAS CAROL)! *no place like HOME* featured the West Coast premieres of songs by new musical theatre writers Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, and Kathleen Wrinn and Jonathan Fadner. Plus, members of the cast of Open Fist Theatre Company's production of deLEARious offered a sneak peek at their show! Following the show, Emily Clark hosted the open mic afterparty where audience members could make themselves at HOME onstage.

Tickets are now on sale for the NEXT (mostly)musicals, featuring all happy songs for the new year on Monday, January 8th, 2018 - stay tuned for more information! Tickets are $20 and are available at http://tinyurl.com/mmLA-HAPPY18. Doors open at 6:30pm for dinner and drinks, showtime is 7:30pm with the open mic afterparty immediately following. Vitello's Restaurant is located at 4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA. Valet and street parking are available.

Sierra Madre Playhouse Prepares For Centennial In 2024 With Extensive Renovations Photo
Congresswoman Judy Chu, Assemblyman Chris Holden and former Sierra Madre Mayor Gene Goss all expressed enthusiastic support for plans to refurbish the Sierra Madre Playhouse in celebration of its centenary in 2024.
