More Broadway favorites have been added to the lineup for Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway on Monday, November 4, 2019. The special, one-night-only concert benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Disney has officially been making magic on Broadway for 25 years! As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Disney on Broadway is partnering with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to put on a special benefit to celebrate the momentous occasion. We're getting in on the celebration by looking back at Disney's show-stopping productions, from classics like Beauty and the Beast and Newsies to current favorites like Aladdin and Frozen. Last night, Sheldon Harnick received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Songbook Association! Performers included Kissy Simmons, Klea Blackhurst, Adam Heller, Danny Bacher, Samantha Massell, Melanie Moore, Alexandra Silber, Brad Oscar, Liz Callaway, Jeff Harnar & Alex Rybeck, Alan Schmuckler, Jeffrey Saver and Rhyn Mclemore Saver, Ed Dixon, Sidney Myer, Judy Kuhn, Robert Cuccioli, and Steven Skybell.

The American Songbook Association presents their second annual gala a?oeTo Life! Celebrating Sheldon Harnick,a?? on Monday, September 16 at 7:30 PM. Highlighting the gala is the presentation of the 2019 ASA Lifetime Achievement Award to this legendary lyricist of iconic shows such as Fiddler on the Roof, Fiorello!, She Loves Me, and more. The event takes place at the Pershing Square Signature Center's Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre

Theatre By The Sea (TBTS) owner and producer Bill Hanney is proud to announce the return of an all-new edition of A Broadway Celebration created exclusively for our audience. Producer and host, New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis returns with five of Broadway's finest vocalists, who will recreate some of their most memorable and favorite musical moments as they celebrate the spectrum from classic to contemporary Broadway. The concert will allow the performers to display their great talents and versatility, share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes and conduct an enlightening and entertaining question and answer session with the audience. Scheduled performers are two-time Tony Award nominee and two-time Drama Desk Award winner Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Broadway Musical, Les Miserables), Telly Leung (Aladdin, Allegiance, In Transit, Godspell, Pacific Overtures, Flower Drum Song, RENT), Drama Desk Award nominee Judy McLane (Mamma Mia!, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Aspects of Love, Chess), Wade Preston (Movin' Out), and Kissy Simmons (The Lion King). The American Songbook Association just presented its first Annual Gala, The Joint Is Jumpin'!, a joyous celebration of contributions to the American Songbook by Black songwriters and notable singers. The ASA also presented its first annual Lifetime Achievement Award to singer Marilyn Maye, presented by her longtime friend, fashion designer, Bob Mackie.
