Improv royalty Yes Queens are heading to King’s Head Theatre for a new residency, with tickets now on sale for all dates up to April.  Some of the best comedy-improvisers in the UK, the Yes Queens will star at London’s oldest pub theatre on the last Saturday of every month, for what promise to be stellar nights of raucous fun and ingenious invention. 

Masculinity, vulnerability and meaning are neatly entwined in this world premier production of Sam Mcardle’s show, which brings to mind ‘When you durst feel it, then you were a man,’. We ask ourselves the question; should men finally have feelings?

It's the best place in the world so why would anyone burn it down? Can these two cowboys figure it out before time is up? In this thrilling hour of clowning, physical theatre and comedy it's a race against time to capture the culprit, put out the metaphorical fires and save the show. 

If 2020 was the year theatre ground to a halt and 2021 was when it nervously found its legs again (only to fall over occasionally), then 2022 was when it blasted back to some kind of normal with many pandemic-delayed shows finally seeing the inside of a venue.

This versified version of arguably the greatest Christmas film ever is a seasonal highlight.

Following a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the award-winning SAP returns for an extensive UK Tour, including runs at London’s Soho Theatre, Birmingham Rep, The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, and Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, with further venues to be announced. 

Written in 1996 by dissident Czech playwright and novelist Pavel Kohout, whose experiences inspired two Tom Stoppard plays, Cyanide at 5 is the unfolding of a meeting between two women: a novelist and a seeming fan. Zofia, a writer whose only novel has made her rich and famous, is flattered by a visit from Irene, a younger Jewish woman whose mother was a victim of the Holocaust.

Actor, writer, director, comedian and native of the Greater Philadelphia area, Katierose Donohue Enriquez brings her one woman show, Queen of Fishtown, to the United Solo Festival in New York City for two performances on November 15th and 19th at Theatre Row Studio.

Tom Ratcliffe writes and directs a bleak drag comedy on the trappings of modern fame, exploring online relevance, performative activism, and authenticity. He introduces a contemporary anti-hero who quickly learns that audience is currency and who's ready to do what it takes to become viral. Fame Whore is a clever, hilarious play full of personality, populated by pop culture references, and lined with solid social commentary.

Actress Lucy Speed is set to make her directorial debut with a new play about first time motherhood at Mark Ravenhill's Kings Head Theatre in Islington.

FAME WHORE premieres at the Kings Head Theatre, Islington from 5th – 29th October 2022 before embarking on a small East Anglian tour.

Depicting queer love in the richest and most original of ways, Bright Half Life is an intensely romantic and moving play depicting love that is complicated and ever-changing.

Following a sold-out and critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2021, Mediocre White Male returns to London, with a run at the King's Head Theatre with performances from 15 August – 2 September, with a press night on Wednesday 17 August.
