The King's Head Theatre has announced further details of A QUEER INTERROGATION, the second season of the Takeover, curated by Guest Artistic Director Tom Ratcliffe, playing at the iconic Islington pub theatre 19 April – 14 May.

The King's Head Theatre has announced that the world premiere of BREEDING – a funny, moving drama about adopting as queer parents – will headline the second Takeover season.

After being awarded a Stage Edinburgh Award for her performance, Jessica Clark (Versailles, BBC2/ Canal+; The Wife of Willesden, Kiln Theatre; Rotterdam, Trafalgar Studios) will return for the Soho Theatre run and UK Tour of contemporary fast-paced thriller SAP. Clark stars alongside Rebecca Banatvala (Much Ado About Nothing, RSC; The Princess Switch 3, Netflix; The Syndicate, BBC). 

Remi Rachuba moved to Glasgow from Poland in the late 90s to pursue his dreams and become an actor. A bright young man with stars in his eyes, he learns swear words at his teaching job in a special needs school. Mugged twice, he’s left severely traumatised. He constantly looks behind his shoulder for his “intruder”.

Inspired by true events, FOX tells an honest and amusing story of new motherhood and the battles parents can come to face with in an increasingly isolating society. Katie Guicciardi’s sharp and witty show will spark important discussions around the theme of help, exploring our desire to give it and how we seek it out.

Improv royalty Yes Queens are heading to King’s Head Theatre for a new residency, with tickets now on sale for all dates up to April.  Some of the best comedy-improvisers in the UK, the Yes Queens will star at London’s oldest pub theatre on the last Saturday of every month, for what promise to be stellar nights of raucous fun and ingenious invention.

Actor, writer, director, comedian and native of the Greater Philadelphia area, Katierose Donohue Enriquez brings her one woman show, Queen of Fishtown, to the United Solo Festival in New York City for two performances on November 15th and 19th at Theatre Row Studio.

Actress Lucy Speed is set to make her directorial debut with a new play about first time motherhood at Mark Ravenhill's Kings Head Theatre in Islington.
