Executive-Producer Armand Hyatt today announced that two Emmy-nominated and beloved soap stars are joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME this month, celebrating the record-breaking murder mystery as it enters its historic 33rd year of performances. Both Robert Newman and Grant Aleksander of GUIDING LIGHT fame will be taking on the role of Detective James Ascher in the classic whodunit that continues its run in the Anne L. Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center. Mr. Newman will perform in the role now through May 8th and May 24th - June 16th and Mr. Aleksander will perform in the role May 10th - May 22nd and June 17th - June 30th. CAPE FEAR REGIONAL THEATRE, winner of BroadwayWorld's Award for Best Musical two years running, is pleased to announce the opening of the hit production, 'ANNIE,' with Book by Thomas Meehan, Music by Charles Strouse and Lyrics by Martin Charnin, based on 'Little Orphan Annie'. The production is directed and choreographed by Robin Levine, with musical direction by Jillian K. Zack. The show features two different youth casts of orphans, the Charles cast and the Strouse cast. Playing the roles of Annie are Lily Hogge (Charles Cast) and Zoi Pegues (Strouse Cast). Also, featured in the company are Robert Newman as Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks, who is best known for his 28-year run as 'Joshua Lewis' on the hit television series Guiding Light, and Erin Fish as Ms. Hannigan who recently played the role on the U.S. National Tour.

Robert Newman, best known for his 28 year run as Joshua Lewis on the longest running program in broadcasting history, Guiding Light, and more recently on the hit Showtime series Homeland and this upcoming season of the hit Netflix series House of Cards, will be joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME, replacing Richard Shoberg on Monday, February 20th, in the role of Inspector James Ascher at the Anne L. Written by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by theatre legend Anne Occhiogrosso, Centenary Stage Company's mainstage theatrical season continues in the Lackland Performing Arts Center this Friday, February 16 at 8PM with Reza's 1998 Tony Award and 1996 Olivier Award winning comedy Art.  "Wildly funny, naughtily provocative…" says the NY Post, it all begins when Serge buys an expensive painting by a celebrated artist.  A white canvas with white diagonal lines.  Old friends square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to hilariously batter one another over various slights and failures.  Art is a hilarious exploration of the very notion of what constitutes art while examining the meaning of friendship.  'Anyone looking for a play that is funny, sophisticated, stylish, stimulating and moving should go to 'ART'.'
