The Guthrie's 2012-13 season features three major Tony Award nominees, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris and Other Desert Cities by Jon Robin Baitz, which were both nominated for Best Play. The Guthrie's upcoming season also features Roger Rees as director of Crispin Whittell's new play The Primrose Path. Rees has been nominated for a 2012 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for his work on Peter and the Starcatcher.

Last night, BROADWAY SINGS ADELE featured over 15 cover songs to celebrate the pop superstar's greatest hits, accompanied by a full band orchestrated, arranged, and music directed by Joshua Stephen Kartes. The concert took place at 7:30 pm. View photos from the concert below!

The 26th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition raised $3,677,855, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 51 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced Tuesday at this year's Easter Bonnet Competition, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs, dances and 18 elaborate, custom-made bonnets. THE LYONS, which debuted last fall at the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre, officially opened last night, April 23, at the Cort Theatre. Previews began on April 5. THE LYONS comes to Broadway with its entire original cast: Linda Lavin and Dick Latessa along with Michael Esper, Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell. Mark Brokaw directs. The new musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, with music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis), will open tonight, April 24 at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT stars two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick (The Producers, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying) and three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara (South Pacific, The Pajama Game) and is directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, The Pajama Game).

On May 23, the company of Godspell will celebrate their Academy Award- winning writer Stephen Schwartz in a one-night-only concert. Expect songs from Schwartz projects like Pippin, Wicked, The Baker's Wife, The Magic Show, Working, My Son Pinocchio, Children of Eden, Rags, "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "The Prince of Egypt", "Enchanted" and more.

This Friday, April 27, 'Submissions Only' will air its episode 2 season finale, featuring previously announced guest star Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, On The Town), right here on BroadwayWorld. Its inaugural six-week workshop, running Monday nights beginning tonight, April 16, through May 21, will cover contemporary pop musical theater technique and repertoire. It will be lead by Broadway performer Andrew Kober (pictured), director Stephen Agosto, and composer/lyricist Drew Gasparini.
