The 10th Annual 'Living for Today' benefit concert was held last night, October 23, at Joe's Pub, produced and directed by David Alpert (IF/THEN, The Trip to Bountiful, Artistic Director of Headline Programming at BroadwayCon), with music direction by Jason Wetzel (After Midnight). The American Theatre Wing's 71st Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, aired live from Radio City Music Hall last night, honoring theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway and wrapping up the 2016-17 awards season.

Dear Evan Hansen had a big night at the 71st Annual Tony Awards, taking home a grand total of six statues. After things wrapped up at Radio City Music Hall, the cast celebrated at the Empire Hotel. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the festivities and you can catch photos below!

Coming to the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans beginning tomorrow night is the show that brings us all of the music of ABBA, and all of the energy of a three month old puppy: MAMMA MIA! It tells the story of Sophie, a young woman who is the daughter of a single mother and taverna owner, who is about to get married to the love of her life and embark upon a new journey. She, like other brides, wants her father to walk her down the aisle and give her away, but there's just one problem… she doesn't know who her dad is!

Broadway Across America - Ft. Lauderdale presents the Farewell Tour of the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 20 year old Sophie is planning to marry, and wants her father to be present to give her away. Unfortunately, she does not know who her father is. After reading her mother's diary, she concludes he is one of three men, so she invites all of them to her wedding, on the Greek Island on which she lives with her still single mother, in the hopes of sorting it out.
