The first half of October brings a whirlwind of entertainment options to the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville.  With a trio of live theatre offerings ranging from a provocative 9/11-themed drama to a cabaret to a family-friendly swashbuckling musical adventure, the Roxy Regional Theatre has a little something for everyone this month.

Clarksville's Roxy Regional Theatre transports audiences back to Baltimore - the capital of big hair and the city of big dreams - in 1962 with their production of Hairspray, now onstage through September 29. This weekend (which features the company's annual fundraising gala on Saturday night) kicks off the second weekend of the show's multi-week run in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

The 1950s are out, and change is in the air! Clarksville's oldest professional theatre enters Season 36 of live entertainment on the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville with a Tony Award-winning family-friendly musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs.

New York salutes Hollywood this summer at the corner of Franklin and First in historic downtown Clarksville.

The Mighty Quinn Foundation hosted Shakespeare and Champagne, a fundraising benefit for the Shakespeare Academy at Stratford, on May 15 at Ars Nova in New York City. Jenn Harris (Gayby, New York is Dead) hosted the event. Bryan Terrell Clark, who currently plays George Washington in the Tony Award winning musical Hamilton was among the evening's special guests. The performances mark the culmination of the theater training program's second season. Admission is free.

For families and audiences age four and up, Frog and Peach Theatre Company, widely known for popular and critically-acclaimed Upper West Side productions of Shakespearean plays, will present the fairy tale series Tinkerbell Theatre, adapting 'Cinderella' and 'Snow White' (both from the Brothers Grimm) into Rocky-and-Bullwinkle style plays featuring sing-along songs and big, soft puppets.
